Off to Manchestoh this evening for a gig, Little Man Tate for the 4th time to be precise, and next week is reading week! (do fuck all week) Shabba!

The Turks 2-0 up away from home, 5-3 on agg. 50 minutes gone.

Can't wait for this weekend tbh. Little Man Tate gig in Manchestoh tomorrow night, should be immense, then relaxing day on Saturday, then off to the match on Sunday.

Thats where we all were before the game in the Carling Cup, was packed full of Geordies that night. Sounds good. Just wanna make sure because the ground is in the middle of no where so if the pub isn't away fan friendly then it's a long way to somewhere else.

I'm going to Arctic Monkeys gig at Old Trafford cricket ground in July. They are having 3-4 support bands so it's a bit of a mini festival.

I can't see why Vidic would dive in that situation, knowing that if he doesn't head the ball then it would very likely end up as a goal.

I can't believe so many people don't know the proper rules. Of course that goal was legal. In a situation like that the referee asks the taker if they want the wall walked back 10 yards, and therefore will have to wait for the whistle, or if they want to take the kick straight away and not have to wait for the whistle. It's clear that Giggs said he wanted to take it quickly and so didn't have to wait for the whistle. The Premier league teams have realised this and thats why you see 1 player standing in front of the ball while the keeper sets up the wall in case they try to take it quickly. Lille only have themselves to blame for conceding that goal tbh.

French football showed itself in a very bad way tonight, with poor conduct from Police, fans, players, coaching staff.

What a game that was. Had everything! The match itself wasn't spectactular but evertything else was gripping stuff. Interesting to see what UEFA do to Lille in terms of punishment. Should be thrown out of the competition in my opinion.

The racing speed and weight of NASCAR's completely precludes racing on tracks with tight or flat corners, the cars would either roll off the track or have to slow down so much, you would need massive straights to get back to full speed (hence the rolling starts). These cars have crap acceleration and low speed handling. What they do have is fast as feck engines (220mph if the new mandated restrictor plates are removed) and unpredictable aerodynamic and handling behaviours at top speeds heavily influnced by the other cars relative positions (hence the tow/bump behaviour) and tyre condition. The result is the opportunity for drivers to practice the real art of racing, that is timing, judgement, and adaptation, at literally lethal speeds (c.f. Dale Earnhart). You could have left and right banking turns, but that would just mean half the track being obscured to spectators, for not much benefit. Add to that the fact that otherwise competing teams cooperating when it suits to screw over other teams is allowed, and technology is kept basic to allow competition, I think it's pretty exciting. For racing skill I watch BTCC, but for high speed racing I for one am now a total convert to NASCAR from the turd that is F1. Plus, you can't beat crossing the finish line upside down in flames, try that in an Indi Car Ok first of all, use some paragraphs, Nascar is hard enough to read about in the first place... Annnnnd, I posted that at 2:49am.... do not take someone too seriously at a time when it's clear they've had a few refreshments. Annnnnnnd, Nascar is still wank.
