Well if we could get Ba on a free then maybe we can get someone gameiroesque. Still thats a large IF, that we would even spend that. If we dont get Ba for whatever reason I find it very unrealistic that we would buy another 2 strikers of quality. Im not suggesting we should put him up there by himself and lob balls at him like he's Carroll. Gameiro/Ba/whoever - Gervinho Jonas - Barton/Cabaye - Tiote - Ben Arfa or Gervinho Jonas - Ben Arfa - Barton Cabaye - tiote Are both fluid formations that would work well with Gervinho up top. I agree that we need some more though, but maybe one would be enough if it means we could afford another quality right back or central defender.

No thats very good. My point was that his main attributes are pace and power, but that doesnt mean he isnt a striker. Just because he isnt the sort of player like, say Berbatov who doesnt have a ton of mobility.

Dunno why you wouldnt class him as a striker at all. He can certainly be the pacy player in a big/fast partnership in a 442. Maybe not the most prolific but he will run in behind with lightning pace. What I saw of him in Lille he mainly played offensively on the right in a 433, but he switched places with Sow, the main striker alot. He is no Jonas who will stay out on the wing the whole game and track back (he might do this if asked but its not been his job at Lille alot of the time).

I usually get Christian Benitez. should cost 3-4m. Always scores alot for me and has great resale value. Got 10m for him a couple seasons later once. Other than that Kadlec and Necid are good young options, they wont play too well to begin with though. Necid will become a monster eventually. Good right backs are hard to get without paying alot. I usually make due with Raylor. Always gets a few goals and can do a decent set-piece.

Both did ok. Cabaye was tidy enough. Gervinho has lightning pace and he beat the offside trap once, rounded the keeper and gave it to Sow so he could get his hattrick and become the french league top scorer. Hazard looked insane.

He was ok. Started an attack for their 2nd goal. decent passing and all. I was watching a shitty river so I couldnt always see who was on the ball, nor would I judge him on 1 game. Gervinho was easier to spot and seemed quite good too. Hazard was immense though, can see him go pretty much anywhere he wants.

Cabaye just got subbed in the 87th min in their last game. Spent about 2 minutes walking off getting a hug from all his team-mates. Seems hes pretty much ours. Or atleast not Lilles anymore.

I do play with Lille online alot. Scores countless free kicks, and keeps moving in to score goals otherwise. Good allrounder! Scored a cracker from a freekick against Tom I think, on our ps3 fifa league! He is integral in a team that won the french league, and they dont have that big a squad so he probably is quality. Afaik he is an offensive minded playmaker, while Rio Mavuba is their DM. If this happens ill be delighted.
