  1. Tbh he doesn't have any money and the banks wont lend us any... I dont blame him for not spending money, however I blame him for failed ground moves (Kings Dock would have generated a big increase in revenue, Kirkby was a horrible idea), gross mismanagment of finances (doesn't know where £23m a year goes from our accounts?!!, has spent sky money from the season after this already on paying the debt payments, lying to the fans, and many other things. If he'd not made so many bad decisions we'd actually have momey coming in to spend... as it stands many bad decisions have left us without a pot to piss in. I can't remember the last time I was excited about a player we were signing... In fact I can't even remember the last player we signed for a proper fee
  2. Haha how the fuck did a thread about Everton turn in to an argument between a Toon fan and a Red Shite?
  3. £15m + I reckon. Got to be honest with you here but there's no chance Baines will be sold... He'd be the last one on the books that would be available. Jagielka will be the one to go if anyone. It looks like Kenwright has borrowed something like £13m from some dodgy investment group in the British Virgin Isles secured against next seasons premier league money... that'll probably keep the club ticking over without the need for any major sales (although Jags may go if the price is right) until next summer at least. Its not good when the club is borrowing to pay debts though... recipe for disaster! Baines would be no less than £20m anyway... some agent or other said that a few clubs had been quaoted that earlier in the summer (my guess would be Man City before they bought Clichy for £7m)
  4. Pretty much yeah... Tbh it's hard to tell whether he was unaware of certain facts in the taped conversation (without his knowledge) he had with the supporters group, or whether he didn't want to tell the truth and so lied. If anyone can be bothered to read the conversation it's here: Taped Conversation with Kenwright It will probably make you lot piss yourself but for me it makes for very hard reading!
  5. Ok so many on here will say "thank fuck i hate Everton anyway" etc etc, but I thought I would post my insight in to the stark contrast between our 2 clubs... or how it looks to an uninformed outsider anyway. On one hand you have Mike Ashley who seems to not really care about Newcastle United being particularly competative and is very much about the bottom line, making sure the books balance, and ensuring the club runs as a business above all else. Whereas on the other hand you have Everton who's chairman has basically got us in all sorts of financial trouble giving Moyes money for big wages (for a club with our turnover anyway) which we couldn't afford. Now the banks want their money back and apparently we're fighting them off on a daily basis... I fully expect Jagielka to be sold before the window shuts and not replaced. Not only has he messed up with the wages (reportedly now coming in at over 70% of our turnover), he has no idea where over £20m a season goes from our books?!! I'm not saying Mike Ashley is a picture perfect owner by any means, but tbh right now I think I'd rather we'd had a chairman with a more ruthless business head than a chairman too afraid to say no to his manager. I guess there's a fine balance to be had between the two contrasting approaches, but apart from giving Demba Ba 70k a week (that's a joke for those who remember that argument lol) I'm now starting to think Mike Ashley might actually be on to something (albeit in his own not very popular way). Good result against the Makems btw... I watched it and I reckon you just about edged it.
  6. I came up with a concept and developed the story and characters from there.
  7. Yeah its hard to focus on creating something as vast as an 80,000 word story tbh, I think you need to have a good idea of the plot before you start if you have any hope of suceeding. When I started this book i had a concept and that took me to 13,000 words, but I got completely stuck and had no idea how to proceed from there. Now I have a fairly good idea of where the book is going and how it will get there and that's how i've managed to get it up to 20,000 words over the last few days. I'll no doubt get stuck again at some point though and leave it another 12 months knowing me though lol
  8. Wow good work mate! How many words is yours? Its a sci-fi thriller based upon the concept that TV Networks rule the world in a totalaterian society where everyone is brainwashed through advertising. What's yours about? So far it's been written shorthand so not sure exactly. I'd say in the region of 80,000 plus. I'm writing a historical fiction book based around the life of a 16-year old boy from Plymouth who gets caught up in piracy. I loved Treasure Island and On Stranger Tides (the book, not the sorry excuse for a film) and took inspiration from them, but I'm going for a more gritty approach. Can't wait until I finish it. Not really writing to get published, it's just a hobby first and foremost. Nice one, yeah I read that it needs to be a minimum of 80,000 words if you want it considered for publication. Mines all been wrote on the PC so far, god knows how you've managed to write it all in shorthand lol. I've picked it up again over the last few days and am up to 18,000 words now... A long way to go but it's almost a quater of a book so I'm kind of looking at milestones in the writing process to give me motivation and not see it as an impossible task HAHA one that luckily has a grammar and spell checker lol! Actually I'm pretty good at English except when I post of football forums
  9. Oh god yeah me too.com! I know what you mean though, we're english at least make it .co.uk lol

  13. So following on from the everyday things things you've done I thought it would be interesting to hear the slightly out of the ordinary things people have either done or attempted. Mine are: Have written 14,000 words of a book but hit a bit of a writers block for the last 12 months and it remains unfinished... however I intend to finish it one day Passed out face down in a urinal Lived next door to a premier league football player (one that wouldn't be very popular on here!)
  14. Never raped a bird from Taiwan Never pushed my sofa up against the door Never armed myself with a pan
  15. Movie was shite, should read the book as its 100 times better.
  16. Gowler has allergic reaction to grower?
  17. That's a shaggy dog story if i've ever heard one woman dies due to ruff sex?
  18. Wind up McFaul mate I've had you foaming at the mouth, hammering away on your keyboard with your 60 line emotional replies. Not 60 lines but it probably seems a lot to someone who is incapable of forming a coherant argument and relies on one or two lines of random thoughts to try and back up his weak and poorly formed opinion. Just kidding About Everton?? If I could be arsed I could write a book about what a wank club you are, but my feelings are pretty plain. Do you get in The Runhead by the way, or ever get to the Boathouse at Wylam? Yeah but that's the point isn't it? Most people dislike other clubs, it's what being a supporter is all about. Aye occasionally go in the Runhead for some food and a couple of drinks but not very often these days... they've had the same menu for about 3 years and it gets a bit boring in the end. Never been in the Boathouse before but it looks like a canny place.

  20. I haven't been tempted to leave yet, you lot amuse me too much... especially those who hate a rival supporter expressing his opinion about anything. Although I dont really post that often, I tend to dip in and out depending on whether there's something in the news that relates to both teams, or I'm a bit quiet at work and bored and fancy winding up McFaul
  21. I got an invite. What with facebook, twitter, blogs when someone invited me to google+ I just thought Still joined tho
