Never heard of 'Medion' but that's a canny offer and will play the latest games let alone run two monitors. I've got one, never had a problem with it. Very good value systems.

Time to get me an Irish passport methinks. Not that I'm planning a trip to Mumbai any time soon.

Trust no one. Seriously. I can't think of one figure at our club right now that I like or have a whole lot of respect for. Sad times.

Started slowly but got better. A decent prelude to the next series.

What's the craic with Chimbonda? Was it just poor time-keeping or anything more serious? I mean, of all the players in the PL, who could have predicted that it would be Diouf and Chimbonda who would fall out with Keane? Another couple of fantastic signings.

They need to use "if I have 3 bananas and I take..." or it'll never sink in. And they're going to tax me at 45% too? Cunts. That's another interesting point, an independent financial think tank has said that will basically raise £0, as people will simply put more effort into tax avoidance. The people that are going to be most hit (and basically pay the most for all this) are those on £19,000 and below. Tax avoidance schemes are a lot less useful nowadays since you have to inform HMRC of the details which inevitably leads to them closing the loopholes that you're exploiting.

Which would actually take our transfer dealings into a net profit. I can't remember whether he went just before or after the club was taken over but that makes very little difference anyway since he went the summer Allardyce arrived. Parker left a week before Barton and Rozenhal arrived so the £7M recouped was quickly spent then some (£8.7M for the two). I'm not saying he's spent loads or anything by the way. Remember that 50 pager on N.O. when I was pontificating we needed to spend 100m over two windows to compete? its all so depressing. And its also so depressing that during that 50 pager you are talking about, the amount of people who actually opposed the notion of actually competing with the other clubs, and still do in lots of cases. Things are very bad, the worst they have been for years and years. The worst thing is we can't do nothing about it, not a thing. I'm fed up now of trying to tell some of these people to be honest, the whole business is just indescribably sad, how its all turned out. I honestly thought I would never see the day again when this club behaved like 2nd raters again, I thought such days were gone for good. Just shows we all learn something, you just never know whats round the corner with this football club. Aye. People don't understand the basics ie it's better to spend 30m net in one go to give the first 11 a boost rather than in dribs and drabs over 2/3 years. Unless you give that money to Graeme Souness.

And I don't think he'd even get that award. Pat Jennings Packie Bonner! Packie Bonner he didn't play for one big club in his career, and Holland 1994 is all that needs saying. Head and shoulders the best keeper the Irish Republic has ever produced, Jennings played in a era when centre forwards were putting Lambert and Butlers out on the half way line at kick off time.

Mourinho on Tottenham - September 2004 "As we say in Portugal, they brought the bus and they left the bus in front of the goal. I would have been frustrated if I had been a supporter who paid £50 to watch this game because Spurs came to defend. There was only one team looking to win, they only came not to concede - it's not fair for the football we played".

Agree. There needs to be tougher legislation against the carrying of knives etc.. I'd agree with that too. I think we're already seeing that in terms of Judges going towards the more severe end of current tariffs but whether that in itself will be adequate...? I don't know that we're seeing any greater deterrent effect coming through yet anyway. I wouldnt be averse to going higher on sentencing on this either for the record. Nor would I. Imo people carrying knives when they go out for a pint are animals and need to be treated as such. Ditto. It's exactly the sort of thing there should be heavy sentences for. There'd actually be widespread public support for it as well. It wouldn't be rigorously applied anyway while the jails are still full up.

I really don't think there is anything wrong with fatty. I do. But it's hardly unexpected given his record. We signed an injury-prone player (far worse than Owen who has had two freak injuries in his time here). And signed by a man who took enormous pride in his application of medical science, it didn't do much good in this case.

In Alan Smith £6000000 Claudio Cacapa Free Jose Enrique Villarreal £6500000 Habib Beye £2000000 Abdoulaye Faye £2000000 Danny Guthrie £2500000 Fabrizio Coloccini £ 10300000 Jonas Gutierrez £??????? Xisco £??????? £29.3M+ Out Kieron Dyer £6000000 Alberto Luque £2000000 Nolberto Solano Free Matty Pattison £??????? Peter Ramage Free David Rozehnal £2900000 Emre Fenerbahce £??????? Abdoulaye Faye £2250000 James Milner £??????? £13M+ I'm guessing around £15m for Emre and Milner so that leaves a net spend of about £9m (assuming Xisco was £8m). Not a huge outlay for two full summer transfer windows.

Sit tight. If they go you won't owe them anything. Reminds me of the morons who reckoned that if Northern Rock went bust then they would own their house outright with no mortgage.

Reminds me that I owe them a lot of money in about 3 days.
