That's bollocks isn't it?
-
Make sure to mention that it's given you whiplash.

Has he had a history of injuries?
-
Oh I get it now, it'll be a year since the decline of the forum began, a sad event indeed.
-
He's certainly cost more than I expected but at least Sam has got the player he wanted.
-
Well he's been living in England for 5 years and English in one of the official languages of Cameroon so I'd imagine he's fairly proficient in the language.
-
The only place this thread is going to is the Gold section

Probably the best candidate for the Bolton game, not sure about giving it to him full time though.
-
He was sitting beside Mort last night so I think it's safe to say he's still employed by the club.

Patrokles in being condescending shocker! So who can judge Smith then? No one on this board holds a season ticket for Old Trafford as far as I'm aware so all most people on here have seen of him is on TV. I've probably seen Smith play live at Old Trafford more than anyone else on this board so is my opinion suddenly more valid than anyone else's? Is it fuck. It's possible to form valid opinions on players by seeing them on TV, an OT regular would probably know more than me about him but it doesn't mean that I can't form a valid opinion on him.

It's one of the things referees are supposedly looking out for this season, though we've heard that about other issues countless times before to no avail.
-
They're allowed opinions. They'll just be opinions based on very little evidence whatsoever. That's the point being made. It'd be like me saying 'I think New Hampshire is an incredible place to live' just because I've seen it once on a holiday show. Very little evidence? Do I have to be an Old Trafford season ticket holder to have enough 'evidence'? Man U are probably on TV as much as any other English team, there is plenty of opportunity to see them play and form a valid opinion on certain players. And your comparison between a football player and a place to live is complete bollocks btw.

He didn't give the wrong decision on purpose, did he? Telling him repeatedly to 'fuck off' is not going to get him to change his decision and in a competitive game should have led to a red card.
-
As I've said before, this talk of a loyalty bonus hasn't come from a reliable source so I don't see why people are accepting it as fact but I suppose people will believe anything if it's supports their dislike of the player.
-
Well if he wants to play for the team he supports then good luck to him.
-
I don't want to see that from any of our players tbh. I think it shows grit and determination and the fact he cares about scoring a goal so much in a friendly gives me the impression he's up for the fight this season. It shows a lack of respect and an inability to control aggression imo. I think you're making too much of it because you don't rate him. I'm not making a big deal out of it, it happens and I don't like to see it, I'm not saying he shouldn't be playing for us just because he mouths off to a linesman.

"We in the end decided that Kieron was under-valued, we lifted the valuation to what we thought was realistic, and West Ham didn't want to roll with it". Of course they didn't 'roll with it', it's entirely unprofessional.
-
i personally think the whole idea of signing him is that he improves the squad He'll certainly improve the squad but I'd like to think that our most expensive signing of the summer would improve the first XI.

FFS, are people not allowed to have opinions on players unless they've seen them play 20+ games a season? I'm not thrilled about the Smith signing and don't really see how he'll improve the first team either but I'd be very happy for him to come along and prove me wrong.

I reckon he could still do a job alongside Forlan with Scholes playing just behind them.
