  1. Joe Budden - Unforgiven One of his best imo.
  2. I hope this is bollocks, he's started to show a bit of form in pre-season so to loan him out now would be senseless. However if they big £4m+ for him then we should consider it.

    Heroes

That story line bored me the whole way through the series. I've just finished watching it and my review is: Episodes 1-5/6 - Interesting Episodes 6-18 - Average Episodes 19-22 - Excellent Finale - Disappointing I mightn't gave the exact episodes right but that's the trend I found throughout the series.
  4. I agree. When Leazes always ridiculed the concept of "planning" I've said a couple of times that of course you need the right playing staff, but that it is also very important to give them the appropriate environment which would pay out in long term. It's not just about backing your managers with big money that they can buy fancy strikers. So you think that we played in the Champions League without a better plan than all those who didn't what a dickhead Alreet Leazes?
  5. I don't think it's any surprise that there's only one place for a 'little man'.

In many ways it's pretty amazing Newcastle could still function as a Premiership football team with the state things got to in the background. I can well imagine Allardyce's jaw hitting the ground on several occasions as he discovered yet another hole, flaw or anachronism in our back room setup. That added to Mort's comments about the surprises he found in the way the club was being run by the board and you really do wonder how we functioned as a PL team.
  7. I read it as 'training ground row', I had visions of a Souness/Bellamy style bust up between Mort and one of the players.
  8. Ah the return on the widely-respected fountain of footballing knowledge that is Mr. Oliver Fowler.
  9. Highest paid player at SJP? Fuck off.
  10. Why? He's joined the better and more passionately supported of two mickey mouse clubs as far as I'm concerned, the main difference is at Sunderland, he's just 2 hours away from his family. I'm no mackem lover ewerk but if I didn't piss black and white and came from Scotland I'd have chosen them too. I'm not saying that Villa are anyone's dream club but Sunderland's squad on paper is certainly below average and far poorer than Villa's imo. Sunderland will most likely be fighting relegation next season (although I don't think they'll go down) while Villa are an established Premiership team, with a decent manager, money to spend and should finish somewhere mid-table. If it were my unbiased decision then I would've chose Villa.
  11. I can't understand why he chose the mackems over Villa.

    Cybersex...

By cybersex are you talking about watching other people on webcam or just instant messaging each other? The latter is harmless enough imo unless it leads to something more.
  16. Hope should be shot for that headline tbh.
  17. Aye but surely it must be a nightmare trying to find the DVD you're looking for unless you remember the colour of every one?

  19. ...what's the most ridiculous bit of copy you can remember reading from the ronnie gill's chief football writer over the years? post your favourite bits below so we can all have a good laugh at his expense. hhmmm someone's been fibbing it seems...... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/6896760.stm Last Updated: Thursday, 12 July 2007, 21:48 GMT 22:48 UK Blair gets to grips with mobiles Tony Blair has been talking about getting to grips with life after Downing St by finally learning to text. The former prime minister told a Labour Party fundraising event he had learnt how to use text messages, only to receive one back asking: "Who are you?" Stopping when traffic lights were on red was also a new experience - as PM his driver used to go straight through. Also at the event, attended by Gordon Brown, were singer Mick Hucknall and Manchester Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson. Mr Blair bought his first mobile phone last October, but appears to have failed to find time to learn to use it before he stepped down as prime minister last month. He has long been seen as a technophobe, being described by former colleagues as "a pen and paper person". New Labour's former media chief, Alastair Campbell, last year said of Mr Blair: "He tries - he's got a computer screen on his desk... it's pretty idle." Last year it was revealed he had finally got his own e-mail account and he has admitted getting his daughter Kathryn to load songs on to his iPod.
  20. About as useful as him sorting DVDs by colour, ffs.
  21. I had to check the article on the website to make sure Barney hadn't inserted that bit himself.
  22. Not going to be playing against Bolton according to Allardyce.
