I was all for his appointment, its true, but I did have reservations about what his style of play would be, I hoped it would be more free flowing but my fears of that "Bolton" style lingered, and that seems to be the way he's going, I find it dull, unattractive and I'm not a fan of it, I don't see that as contradictory. You want me to bore you with a list of managers who are better than Allardyce ? Show us the list you put up last time that included the likes of David Moyes ffs. Like for like. I believe Moyes went through a bit of a rough patch at Everton as well - no doubt if you were following them you would have wanted the fucker out at the time. I can accept the team being a "work in progess" and be willing to man it out in the trenches whilst results gradually improve, but my patience wears rather thin when I see a manager make a complete fuck up of things due basic errors, so you are willing to sit it out, fine, but whats the end product going to be ? Nah lets keep Allardyce !!! Lets sit back and watch what years 3,4,5 and 6 of the Souness régime would have been like. Jimbo man, I appreciate a lot of what you say, but you've proven over the last three managers you're the first to call for their heads. While you've been a decent judge of character for the first two (not that it would take a fucking genius) but you're being far far to presumptious in your assesment here. If you Honestly HONESTLY think that Allardyce is as bad a amanger as Souness (despite taking Bolton to European competion over time, playing effective football and doing it all no a smaller budget) then I guess there's no changing your mind. But if that's what you honestly believe then I wonder what football you expect from a mid-table club like Newcastle United, because face facts, we're lgiht years off the top four, we're a good three or four quality signings off the following pack of four. Right now, 9th place, that is where Newcastle United belongs right now. If you're wistfully wishing for European football or football of grace and style we see when we reminisce about a decade ago, then you really need to reassess. We're not there anymore, we're miles from it. Perhaps you're right, perhaps my expectations are too high. But as I've said in previous posts, I'm not too disapointed with the league position, I'm disapointed with performances, tactics, morale, substitutions, team selection, to name but a few, whilst I may be playing "mystic Jimbo" but I don't believe Allardyce is the man to take us further, and time will either prove me right or wrong, if Allardyce is given time. I think we are very very fortunate that the likes of Portsmouth, Villa, Blackburn etc have had a mini slump whilst we have picked up some rather jammy points, if not we could be looking at the table in a very different light.

Fuck off you bastids that's my catchphrase It really was a matter of normal service resumed today after the Arsenal blip. Yes so what the team ended up with the points and absolutely battered their goal for the last 15 minutes of the first half, it doesn't make up for the lacklustre effort the rest of the match and the fucking pityful tactics and substitutions. Why does it take the team so long to start both from the initial kick-off and then after half time. Why do we insist on humping it long to forwards that just don't play that way and inevitably we get caught when it gets humped straight back at us and we fall over ourselves to let them score. Why the fuck wasn't Smith subbed ten minutes into the second half when he'd disappeared from the game completely and it was obvious their 5 in the midfield was butt fucking our 3 everytime. Why can't professional footballers actually make 5 to 10 yard passes to their own players. How long will it be before other teams realise that if you just shut down our left side we're fucked because we have no right side and our centre midfield are just a bunch of plodders. It's there for the world to see and yet 3 lucky points against relegation fodder and 1 point against a 3rd choice Arsenal midfield and we're heading in the right direction again.
