Chelsea have agreed a transfer deal for Nigerian youngster Jon Obi Mikel. The Premiership champions will pay a combined £16m transfer fee for Mikel, with £12m going to Manchester Untied and £4m to Norwegian club Lynn Oslo. The agreement resolves the future of the 19-year-old, who has been the subject of a bitter dispute between the three clubs. United have agreed "to terminate their option agreement" with Mikel, whose registration goes to Chelsea. "Under the terms of this agreement Chelsea will pay Manchester United £12m, half payable now and half in 12 months, and Lyn £4m, half payable now, and half payable in 12 months' time," said a United statement.

i was looking at that processor ! its 2.4ghz 1mb but the 2.2ghz 1mb version is £100 cheaper so i think i'll go with that one. motherboards a bit trickier. i dont need any of the sli gubbins and i'm not interested in gaming on my pc (other than fm2006). so an onboard video card will do me fine. was looking at this un - http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/102903 ive already got 1gb of 333mhz ram so that should be compatible until i can afford to upgrade to 2x1gb 400mhz ram ive got 10000rpm sata raptor drive to use as my OS drive so this proposed system should be blisteringly fast 141879 ok - ive just bought the processor and motherboard i mentioned above. they were cheaper on another site. ive also bought 2x1gb ddr400 ram from ebay. total cost - £255. 144339 Cool, hope it does the job for you.

Just got this months FHM, there's a cracking double page Northern Rock advert with Michael Owen on it, Owen is in his Newcastle strip with a St Georges flag draped over his shoulders standing on a airport lugage conveyor with the words "Can we have him back in one piece please ?" underneath. Would scan it but I don't have a scanner !

I'd pay off the mortgages of my close friends and family, I would rent out my current house until my kids were old enough to use it, buy a largeish house for me and the family, probably a couple of holiday homes in France and Florida, buy a couple of mad cars, and be generally wreckless and irrisponsible with it all !

It's that shit on bravo he does that galls me. The hooligan stuff, where he visits all these (now largely derelict) 'firms' from the 70's and 80's and tries to act the geezer as though he has some sort of connection with it himself. He's 28 for fucks sake. He'd have been 8 when say Heysel kicked off! 144016 I totally agree with you, I detest the ground he walks on, that advert he appears in on Bravo has me wanting to spit at the screen, I can't abide the way he acts the hard man, just because he's been in a bloody crime movie now he thinks he's Al Pacino. I think we should give him a good kicking, what do you think ?

Arsenal Football Club is aware that BBC Newsnight is carrying a story this evening purporting to describe Arsenal's relationship with Belgian football club, Beveren. Arsenal does not normally make public its agreements with third parties. However, Arsenal can confirm that it has had a technical relationship with Beveren since 2001. This relationship has a number of benefits to both clubs such as providing a platform to share coaching methods and techniques as well as facilitating the option of players being loaned between the clubs. For example, during the course of the relationship, Arsenal players David Grondin, Liam Chilvers, John Halls and Graham Stack all spent successful loan periods at Beveren as did Emmanuel Eboue, who played in a number of trial matches with Arsenal whilst contracted to Beveren. Such was the latter player's success, Arsenal subsequently signed Eboue on a permanent basis. In addition, Arsenal confirms that it has never owned, directly or indirectly, any shares in Beveren or had any power whatsoever to influence its management or administration. It did in 2001 provide funds of 1,570,703 Euros by way of loan to a member of the consortium to assist in stabilising the finances of Beveren. At no time has anyone at Arsenal been contacted by any regulatory or investigatory body with respect to its relationship with Beveren. Arsenal and all its staff have acted properly throughout, in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations, and in the best interests of Beveren, Arsenal and the broader footballing community.

Oasis' 1994 debut album, Definitely Maybe, has been voted the greatest album of all time in a music poll. The album, which featured hits Live Forever and Supersonic, beat the Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band into second place. Some 40,000 music fans were asked to name their favourite work in a survey by the book of British Hit Singles and Albums and NME.com. Fans could make their own choice, and did not have to select from a list. The survey marks 50 years of the Official UK Albums Chart. 10 BEST ALBUMS OF ALL TIME 1: Definitely Maybe - Oasis 2: Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band - The Beatles 3: Revolver - The Beatles 4: OK Computer - Radiohead 5: (What's the Story) Morning Glory? - Oasis 6: Nevermind - Nirvana 7: The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses 8: Dark Side Of The Moon - Pink Floyd 9: The Queen Is Dead - The Smiths 10: The Bends - Radiohead British Hit Singles and Albums editor David Roberts said: "Usually these polls are full of records that people have only just bought because they are freshest in the mind. "But this poll shows that the truly great albums always have longevity. "Only two albums in the Top 20 were released in the last five years, so the voters have clearly thought long and hard about their decision." Up the Bracket, the 2002 debut by Pete Doherty's former band The Libertines, was the newest album in the top 20 in 15th place. Only two albums by US bands appeared in the top 20. Nirvana came sixth with Nevermind and The Strokes were 20th with Is This It. Definitely Maybe, which cost £85,000 ($158,000) to produce, was released in August 1994 and topped the British chart a week later.

Whilst I despise modern hip-hop, you've got some seriously good tracks there, especially BDP/KRS One, the thinking chavs rap, EPMD also, their strictly business album is superb. Brings back memories of wearing my baseball cap the wrong way round in 1987.

I fucking hope so !

Bond named as Roeder's assistant Newcastle have appointed Portsmouth assistant manager Kevin Bond as number two to new boss Glenn Roeder. Bond will link up with the Magpies in time for pre-season training in July, according to BBC Radio Solent. "It's mixed emotions, having to leave Portsmouth," admitted Bond. "Newcastle have been huge under-achievers and there are great expectation levels. "That in itself is going to be a pressure, but it is definitely one that I am really looking forward to." Bond returned to Pompey to rejoin manager Harry Redknapp in January and he says leaving Redknapp will be a hugh wrench. "Probably the biggest decision that I faced was leaving Harry Redknapp," added Bond. "Harry has been absolutely fantastic to me over the last six or seven years. "He told me he was disappointed to be losing me, but he understood that it is an exciting challenge for me." Roeder has finalised his backroom team now, with Tommy Craig remaining in charge of the reserve team and Terry McDermott now assisting chief scout David Mills. United also appointed Roddy McDonald as the full-time Club Doctor on Wednesday, with the Scotsman - who worked at United before moving to Celtic in 1999 - returning to St. James' Park. The only position that needs to be filled now is that of Academy Director, and Roeder revealed on nufc.co.uk yesterday that "three or four names" are in the frame for that role and he expects to be in a position to make an announcement later this month.

Real vultures hover over Juve By Chris Cummings - Created on 31 May 2006 Reports in the Italian media claim that Real Madrid are ready to raid Juventus if the Turin club are relegated following the match fixing scandal currently engulfing the club. Should Juventus be relegated to Serie B, it is likely that they will lose many of their world class players, with Real one of a host of clubs monitoring the situation. Madrid's marketing consultant Ernesto Bronzetti confirmed his club's interest in several of the Juve stars highlighting Gianluca Zambrotta and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as Los Galacticos' main targets. "Zambrotta is one of the best wingers around and should he become available in the market then Real Madrid will do everything possible to sign him," Bronzetti told 'Gurin Sportivo'. "Ibrahimovic is a player that Real have liked for a long time. "We will be following the Juventus situation very closely, as many of their stars said they would leave should the club be relegated." Bronzetti also commented on Real's ongoing search for a new manager, and confirmed that as of yet, nothing has been decided. "Fabio Capello would also be very welcome here at Madrid, we have a very good list with some big names on it, including a place for the experienced Sven Goran Eriksson."
