Don't want to cause you distress but I am sure you would have got to hear of this story I am going to relay that was tagged onto the local news last night. Apparently police are to make arrests following the discovery of a dead cat found in a microwave oven following a party somewhere in the n.east. I tried to find a link to it on the BBC websites but couldn't find anything. I think I'm right in saying that some arrests had already been made and more are to follow. Now I have no time for cats (or dogs for that matter) but the people who did this are just sick.

There hasn't been anything that really stood out to watch imo. I managed to find The Great Escape on one channel the other day and I watched the Titanic thing last night, which was quite good, but that's about all I have watched tbh. Oh, watched the Comic Strip about the wife-swappers which wasn't particlularly funny. The funniest thing was when mrs hips proclaimed that we had pampas grass in the back (the point being that in the prog the grass growing in the garden was the sign of the occupants life-style )

Hmmmmmm, a straight swap Luque for Woodgate??? That would be a difficult decision to make. If Woodgate was fit I would go for it straight away. But, as we all know......

He would have gone into the old Rome claiming it was the city with the best buildings he had seen. Then he would have knocked some of them down and put other buildings in their place; 'proper' buildings as he would describe them. Some of the buildings would start to fall over and he would blame the foundations/building materials/builders/architects/bad weather. Before long, it would become quite apparent that the new Rome was not as good as the old Rome and, in fact, it was a bit of a pig's ear tbh and more than likely to be twinned with sunlun than the preferred option of Venice.

As a boy, I can recall being sooooooo frustrated at the end of that movie. I wanted so much for them to get away with it and was devastated when the bus ended up in its predicament. The 'plan' would surely have been to get the skinniest member of the gang to slide and get one bar of gold at a time, whilst the rest got as far forward to counter-balance him???? Surely one of the best movies of all time. 'you're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!'

I don't think I'm included in the 'most voiciferous' of 'Souness outers' but I still think he's not the man for us. A couple of wins weakens the argument and a continuing winning streak will weaken it still further. Who reckons this winning streak will continue? Personally I would call it a lucky streak as Arsenal seemed lethargic and West Ham can count themselves extremely unlucky. I posted the above comments following the West Ham game. As was alluded to in the original post, there's more to this than meets the eye. Yes, it can be argued that anal is just echoing Souness' words about us not deserving anything from the game, but when he comments on going nowhere following £50m investment it tells a whole lot more. Souness is close to the edge imo.

That performance was nothing short of an embarassment. Zog in the centre midfield??? Was this a joke???? The sending off has, once again, masked what was another abysmal performance; it looked like it was us that had been ten thousand miles and back. It was a training exercise for Liverpool from start to finish and we were really lucky not to have had six or seven put past us. As has been said, Nobby should have been sent off. Bowyer was a yellow card, no more. Tough guy Gerrard did not have Shearer by the throat - he pushed him in the back when Shearer wasn't looking. Shearer then grabbed Gerrard by the throat/shirt collar and I was surprised he didn't lift him off the deck the strength with which he was holding him. Can't think who the Liverpool player was who dived in the box towards the end of the game. Booked?? Of course not. As has been said, it was impossible for the linesman to have seen the ball over the line so how he could give it is a mystery. He got lucky in that it was a goal, but he couldn't have seen it. Shay Given. Freddie, double his money and get him to stay. Magnificent. Souness, that was appalling. I don't have the English to express just how inept that performance was. Shocking. Diabolical. Disgraceful. Yes, Liverpool are good side but we made them look like world beaters we were so bad. Embarrassed.
