  1. Don't think Cattermole has had a straight red for us (or none that I can remember), he gets sent off for persistent/stupid unneeded fouling. The tackle last night was a bit dodgy but he completely won the ball and Modric went down like he'd been shot. If the tackle was made by someone like Scholes it would have been laughed off as a 'typical Scholes tackle', yet because it was Cattermole he gets slaughtered for it. A yellow was about right IMO. Strange how nothing was made of Van Der Vaart afterwards who grabbed Cattermole by the throat. to be fair though, Scholes isn't really vicious or aggressive, he's just incapable of putting in a proper tackle. Clattermole is a nasty piece of work (trust me I'm a Newcastle fan, I've seen plenty of thugs pull on our shirt). If I'm being honest I just think Cattermole is thick as fuck. He doesn't understand when to pull out of a tackle, he'll just slam into them regardless of whether he's going to win the ball or not. The amount of bookings he picks up for little things is ridiculous. His sending off at Wigan was a prime example, 2 yellows in about 5 minutes, and the 2nd yellow you could see coming from a mile away. He ran about 50 yards chasing the player only to mistime the tackle badly and sent Rodellega flying.
  2. Anyone heard that Beady Eye track? (Liam Gallaghers Oasis spin off band) It's absolutely dreadful.

  4. Sadly it doesn't work that way at all or Darren Bent would have went to the World Cup. 24 goals and didn't get given a chance for England. The big name players will always be preferred over a lower profile striker in shit hot form.
  5. Punched Morten Gampst Pederson in the tit.
  6. Can't understand the mug, especially following his fantastic form and start to the season. Strange moment, came from nothing. He's been your best player this season IMO.
  7. Barton will surely get banned for that (just seen it).

Is Football Manager out for it yet? If so, that. (It's a bit too easy on the iPod Touch like)
  9. No fucking chance, proper mackem mercenary if ever there was one, and there's been fucking far too many over the years.
  10. Sure Fabregas was in the paper the other day saying how playing so many games from such a young age is starting to fuck his hamstrings. It's not surprising. Henderson covers a lot of ground, doesn't half put a shift in every game, he's maybe played a game too many and it's starting to show, he's not playing anywhere near as well. Hopefully gets a rest against Chelsea, I expected him to be dropped tonight tbh. For him to be bossing a Premier League midfield at the age of 20 is outstanding. Hopefully we can hang onto him for a few more seasons. Big clubs have already been sniffing around. Once he starts adding a few goals to his game he'll be off, sadly he'll probably need to leave us achieve his potential. He's said himself he has no intentions of leaving but wants to play for United at some point in his career (if possible).
  11. Yes, now anything constructive to say in regards to this thread?
  12. Aye that's what it was. Nowt to do with a stellar performance from our boys, just like every game we've won. The opposition are suddenly having their worst game in the last year. We actually were. Of course you played well but I've never seen us crumble like that in a long, long time. Anyway. Danny Simpson, hasn't he only played a few games for you this season?
  13. Definitely not. Has a lot of maturing to do at the minute. I think he needs a rest for a week or so, looks knackered. Let him boss it at U21 level before he's thrown into the full team to be ruined/wrote off after one shit game. Ever since he scored that goal for the U21's he's just suddenly stopped playing half as well. Probably tiredness like I say, he's played a hell of a lot of games in the middle of the park for a 20 year old. Aye Onouha had a complete shocker against you, but that was a random blip where everyone just played shit. He's still been solid for us this season, had a great game tonight too.
  14. at least we still have Barton and Carroll in there Onouha is a better RB than Simpson. Carroll deserves it (even if he is a cock) but I don't think England will play to his style, if England even have a style. Barton?
  15. If we keep it to a respectable score I think most SAFC fans will be pleased. We've had no luck with the run of fixtures this year. City, United, Liverpool and Arsenal all together in the space of about 6 games. Somehow we've went unbeaten through them all like. Hopefully we just keep the exact same team as tonight, minus Richardson.
  16. Contained them well, if we'd have went out and played attacking football against them we would have been crucified on the break. Looks like we're eventually turning these away losses into draws. We'll get destroyed off Chelsea on Sunday mind. The Welsh Messi down the left spectacularly did nothing again, Onuoha had him in his pocket.
  17. Absolutely no way. Talksport tend to just make things up anyway.
  18. Can't rely on those gold hoarding knackers for anything! I had us down as 1-1 Gyan first goal on the SAFC World (forum) prediction league. Completely unexpected, we actually played really well for a change, although we did ride out luck as Zenden definitely fouled Bentley for a penalty yet Bentley got booked for diving.
  19. Feels that way! We'll crack it one day.
  20. Blackpool and Stoke were very winnable games, don't get too carried away yet! Anyway, anyone buying one of these... From NUFC.com For the game against Blackburn on Wednesday there will be three versions of the match programme on sale - all with identical content, but three different covers, each depicting one of Kevin Nolan's hat trick goals against the mackems. If you want to guarantee a set, The Back Page are taking orders now, priced @ £11 for all three, including UK postage. Ring and reserve on 0191 261 5005. Mike Ashley doesn't half know how to scrape as much money out of the fans as possible.
  21. Reckon we'll keep it tight but in the end get beat like every other away game for the last 3 year. I keep on kidding myself into thinking we'll sneak a point but then my head takes over and all I can see it a scrappy, cold, rainy 1-0 loss. So, Spurs 1-0 SAFC, probably another Huddlestone screamer like usual against us! That's being realistic, like.
  22. It was a typical WUM thread on the SMB. Someone said there mate or something had been speaking to Bent and he told him that he hated Sunderland and wanted to move away. He was laughed at by everyone and someone 'tweeted' Bent for a laugh asking him to confirm/deny/whatever. Also his 'FTM' tweet was clearly a piss take too.
  23. As already said he'd walk into practically every team in the league, a class act.
