  1. I quite liked the mw campaigns. As long as you are prepared to disengage your brain for the entire thing, and don't mind that it's basically big set piece after big set piece.
  2. That's brilliant. Quick question though, is it one of your sisters who is the bigot, or is that the aunt?
  3. Merry Christmas! How many of you were up at ridiculous o'clock this morning then?
  4. Fergie losing the plot: "Robin van Persie is lucky to be alive. It was a disgraceful act from their player," he told BBC Sport. "He should be banned by the FA. Robin could have had a broken neck." Ferguson added on Sky Sports: "With the Van Persie situation, you can clearly see that he could have been killed. "He should be banned for a long time because that was the most dangerous thing I've seen on a football field for many years." Over this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gk4THpXBKhs
  5. Saw The Hobbit earlier this week, in the higher frame rate version. Massive amount of padding. Shame really, could have been much better if it wasn't three films. Also, the frame rate thing is a bit shit. It looks awesome when the camera doesn't move, really clear and the detail is amazing (but none of this draws you into the picture bullshit they all like to come out with on their promotion jaunts). But as soon as the camera moves more than a bit, its like someone's leant on the fast forward button. Looks ridiculous. Absolutely the opposite of immersive! Other than that, if you liked Lord of the Rings, you'll probably like it enough. Just saw Seven Psychopaths tonight. Bit of an odd film. Not really sure what to make of it. Quite funny in places, but maybe tries just a bit too hard. Not as good as I remember In Bruges being.
  6. First one, Brock? I did the same. Just completed mw3. Played it a bit when I got it, but off work for Christmas now, so played from the London level through to the end yesterday. I know most people get it for mp, but I thought the sp was quite good, for what it is. Anyway, it's one down on my huge list of things to complete.
  7. Ah fuck you're right. Think I've just transferred that onto DTTD cos its a phenomenal song.
  8. Nice one mate! Anyone would have thought we had a gaming forum where we could have a thread for it...
  9. For me its between El Camino (Wiki tells me it was December 11 but so fuck that's close enough), Slash's Apocalyptic Love and Black Country Communion's Afterglow. However, best song this year is by far and away this: What makes it even more ridiculous is that he wrote it in one go, bar a bit of cleaning up some of the rhymes. (I can never remember how the fuck to do youtube on here)
  10. Best gig (possibly unsurprisingly) Joe Bonamassa. First time I saw him was live at Guilfest, he headlined the second stage (which was a pretty small space crammed into the park they hold the fest in) in the pissing rain. Was right at the front and he absolutely nailed it. This was just after John Henry came out (for the 3 other people who know who he is) and it was just ridiculously good. As it was a festival set, he didn't have as much time, so pretty much only spoke to the crowd about 4 songs in and then right at the end, rest of it was wall to wall awesome. Completely forgot about how wet and cold I was. The version of Just Got Paid/Dazed and Confused before India/Mountain Time was just superb. Honourable mentions to Metallica and AC/DC, both at Wembley in the last couple of years. Both top quality. Worst... can't actually think of any particularly bad gigs I've been to. 3 times or more, think it might just be Hundred Reasons, but there are loads and loads I've seen twice.
  11. He didn't look particularly tired, but it must be. Oof, great effort colo.
  12. Is it 442, or back to some form of 433?
  13. Cracking save by Elliott to start with.
  14. My brother lives in Hampshire, snowed there too!
  15. Snowed in Surrey, but was finished by about 10. All gone now. Looked very picturesque on the way into work.
  16. Cool, thanks, might look into picking it up at some point in the future.
  17. I played the first one but got bored when the mutant/aliens/whatever they were took over as the enemy, so didn't bother even investigating the second one. Is it anything like that still?
