Pretty much my thoughts summed up. I hate this mentality of 'winning the penalty' commentators going on about how the attacker saw the opportunity and was smart to take it - I get it, teams need points and will employ such tactics to win them, but that whole mentality would be a lot harder to run with if referees would just allow for the fact that contact happens. Yes! even inside the penalty box!!!
