I've only just noticed the Stokoe in the toontastic banner top thing!
-
Harrogate Town. Which is a real shame as Blyth even negotiated a transfer for him in his day job too! Top player though and was superb in the last FA cup run.
-
The sad thing is, is that if Nile Ranger does live up to his early promise and has a decent 2nd half to the season, we know 100% that he's up for sale.
-
If I remember right, Robbie had trials with Oxford but didn't put a shift in, which suits me fine!

Get along to Blyth! Playing our best football in years, and the standard is really good now too. Plus the atmosphere is superb. I know there's a lot of you closer to Gateshead, (I'd rather see a big turnout at Croft Park) but if you are truly sick of NUFC give it a break for a year or two and watch a local team with real pride and passion. No need for FCUN when there is already quality to support in the area. Seriously, get along to Blyth, ex Newcastle striker, and "Blyth Spartans is pleased to announce that our home game against Workington on Tue 8th February KO 7.45pm will be a “Supporters Day”. Admission prices for this game will reduced as follows:- Full from £10 to £5 Concessions from £5.50 to £3."

That doesn't ring true given wheeler dealer 'arry's statement.

Liverpool bid £35 million+ for Carroll

Is anyone else thinkong it might all fall through? Clearly liverpool need the Torres money but that's taking its time (he's not worth almost 50 million) so Carroll might find himself on the national express in the morning. -

Does Nolan have to go with him to give him somewhere to live? -

The problem is I don't think we'll learn anything from a press conference either, if he says he didn't want to leave then he pisses of the people who have just forked out the price of a small hospital for him. -

Errr aye, we know this. No one is saying he was manipulated into going. He was happy to go, and happy to submit a request to smooth things over here. Actually I am saying he was manipulated into going. Once we got to where we were today he was happy to go along with the coreography-but I doubt he was behind it I don't think he would have gone without the club teeing the transfer up. But I think once it was all put in place he was happy enough to go. I think we are agreeing here, but I do think people are underestimating how much the people around him would be able to convince him what he wants. He's a young drunken Geordie idiot surrounded by sharks. These people are used to hard negotiating involving deals worth millions, he's used to drinking 12 pints half a bottle of tequila and hoying up in Blu Bamboo I think you're right. His advisors could even convince him that he was being a hero by refusing to play for Ashley etc. -
That should be an official press release!
-
What is going on..... If it all goes through it could be one hell of a press conference. My only hope is the Swedish doctor told Carroll he's never going to recover from the injury, and it's a bit of shrewd dodgy business.
-
Only Sky saying so, so far.
-
it's a lot of money for a young player who hasn't really proven himself yet, but with NOTHING coming in it's taking a big risk with relegation. I'm sure that costs a bit too..
-
Sky official also said Grant was 100% sacked as West Ham manager a few weeks ago. They tend to hope for a story sometimes..
-
Your last point seems to make a lot of sense. I'm sure Ashley knows if he does sell Carroll and bring no-one in then the anti-Ashley atmosphere will be 100 times worse. He's stupid not suicidal.
-
Jesus.. Newcastle need a midfielder who can take control of the ball and calm a game down at the end..
-
I think he'll get a hat trick...
-
Hope you had a bet on that!
-
Some genuine artistic and creative talent on display in this thread!
-
He's not actually been sacked yet has he?
-
I think Newcastle have actually got decent 'keepers. When you look around the premiership at second choice and even 1st choice you don't find a great deal better.

A mate of mine is a big West Ham fan and rates him. Apparently breaking records in the reserves etc. Maybe not good enough under pressure, who knows. But if the price is right could be worth a gamble.
