  6. £700,000 is quite a bit for someone who has just turned 17
  7. NEWCASTLE have agreed a deal to sign another promising youngster – Swedish striker Samuel Adjei. Adjei is expected on Tyneside this week for a medical and to complete formalities on his move from Swedish Second Division club Jonkopings Sodra IF. United are understood to have agreed to pay a significant fee for Adjei, a Sweden Under-16 international who only turned 17 last month. “We are pleased with what we have achieved in the negotiations with Newcastle,” said Jonkopings director Daniel Segerfeldt. Adjei was discovered as a 12-year-old by lower league Swedish club Waggeryds IK, whose president Michael Anderberg said: “He has always been an extraordinary talent.”

  9. does make a valid point about the subscription fee for NUSC. If it had cost nothing or even £1 they would probably have 20 fold more members.

  21. think mikes knocked the buy em young transfer policy on the head After signing defender Andrea Raggi from Palermo and striker Giampolo Pazzini from Fiorentina this winter, the Blucerchiati have moved to secure young talents for their future, according to Datasport. Sampdoria have snapped up highly regarded Roberto Soriano, a midfielder born in 1991, from Bayern Munich. The side coached by Walter Mazzarri have also acquired Italian teenage sensation Fabio Zamblera, who was at Newcastle United and was born in 1990. Zamblera is a member of Italy's under-19 squad. It appears that Sampdoria sporting director and transfer guru Giuseppe Marotta is looking to the future of the club, as Samp look to improve their lacklustre season and subsequent campaigns by adding new and enthusiastic young talent. Sampdoria came in an impressive sixth place last season, but have not been able to replicate that type of form during the 2008-09 campaign. The club currently sit just six points above the relegation zone.
  22. what makes you all sure there isnt a deal being done now? I think there will be one announced ..... hopefully.
