I think he's done alright considering he's only making the on-field decision. Shame he's not making the off-field decisions, then we'd be able to judge him a lot better

£5M offer for french left back rejected
StoneColdStephenIreland replied to ToonMarshy's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think this Financial fair play rule has good intentions and all that, but i really don't see it working out. Imagine if a Man Utd, Barca or Real dont get in line with these rules, do i see them being kicked out the competition? I really don't. -
£5M offer for french left back rejected

I can see most of our dealings being for an "Undisclosed Fee" aswell, because the club will try and stop the figures being mentioned that we buy players for, because the players we buy will in no means come anywhere near the £35 million mark -
Newcastle United v Manchester United
StoneColdStephenIreland replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Last time we played them we lined up like this Harper Saylor Coloccini Bassong Jose Enrique Raylor Geremi Smith Gutierrez Martins Lovenkrands The team we will field on Tuesday is far stronger, and Man Utd's will be identical - Ronaldo, and on that particular neet we played well and could've easily got a draw. We can win, I really think if all you sit on your hands mugs get behind the team properly like the proper fans, then we have enough in us to do it. Exactly, if the fans make the atmosphere like was in the 2nd half against Arsenal i really think it will get the players well up for it and think to themselves that they can do this Man Utd side over. If we start with the Line-up CT mentioned i think we've got a massive chance to at least get a result. Ireland will eb up for it for his first game and its against one of his old clubs rivals, i no doubt think Barton will be up for it aswell for the same reason, and the rest of them should be up for it too with the fact its Man Utd and we can beat them especially if they field a weaker team than usual -
If there's no sign of Enrique signing a deal he's gonna be sold to the highest bidder, we'll not risk keeping him for another season in the hope he signs a deal and then lose him for nowt come next summer

I actually think we might sneak a draw out of this one, I'm hoping Man U rest a few players against us with them playing City 2 days before us Plus i'm looking forward to the game as it'll probably be our last night game of the season, so the atmosphere will be class -
We might aswell keep him, we're short on the right, we'll dee nowt with the £35 million we've got never mind the £1.5 mill we'd get for Routledge
-
Can remember a couple year back when theyd just taken over at QPR, there was an article somewhere about how they spent £30 million on their daughters wedding Must have been a canny buffee like
-
Divn't get why Tottenham haven't dumped Gomes yet, he's one of those keepers who costs you more points than gains you points The forgotten man Shay Given would be an unreal signing for Spurs IMO
-
He wouldnt have needed to put as much as £250 mill into the club if it wasnt for the mistakes he made though
-
But whats going to happen if he does fuck it up again? Nothing. He's going to still be in charge and still fucking us up royally
-
Fuck off Wilkins De Jong's a grade A twat

exactly Were ganna buy shyte players, from shyte countries, for shyte money and show no ambition to replace our good players which we will undoubtedly sell
-
Yup. I think there's also the likelihood that Ben Arfa and Tiote will be sold to the highest bidder next season. In fact there must be a risk of Tiote being sold this summer based on what he's done this season, if a silly offer comes in. This on the basis that there's more quality players like them out there in Europe, so why not bank the profit. What's a silly offer for Tiote? £25m? £25 Million in my book, anything over £12 Million in Ashley's and Llambias' book I think the 6 year contract was put in place for to hike his price up a few extra million. I don't get it how everyone now thinks our scouts are amazing now that they managed to sign Tiote and Ben Arfa, fair enough Tiote, but even me granny knew about Ben Arfa It's also extremely difficult to find a player of Tiote's calibre for a few million. Every club in the league try's to sign players for bargain basement prices in the hope they become Prem quality, it's just we somehow managed to sign one of them that come along every few seasons I honestly think this coming transfer window is going to have more disappointments than joy at the business we do, i think the club is honestly going to become a glorified Wigan, in the sense we'll sign players from abroad for next to nowt and sell them onto other clubs for big money FFS i just wanna go into hibernation for this whole summer period
-
Id love him to stay, he for me is the only major player i think could possibly leave in the summer. Cant see Tiote, Barton, Nolan or alike leaving. If we got 15 mil for him, that and the 35mil from Carroll then if we spend anything less than 40mil theres going to be uproar. Theres no way we can take in that kind of money and justify not spending it, especially when its already evident that we NEED at least 5 players as it is. I do however thing that we will spend quite a bit in the summer, its time for ashley to show his hand. Or fuck off. 40mil = 1x Quality striker 10mil (From europe likely) 4x Young promising squad players 5mil and a LB 10mil We can live in hope. 50 million should just about be enough to cover our wages for next season, of course Ashley may have to dip into his own pocket to cover the differences and save the club from certain doom. I don't think we'll get 15m for Enrique though. The fact that he only has one year remaining on his contract will mean other clubs will try to low-ball us. As much as Ahsley will try to hold off to drive the price up at the end of the day he will sell because he'' see it as a profit and will think that he can bring someone in on much lower wages to do the same job nearly as well. The 'international' players that we buy will be from France and the Netherlands where there isn't huge wages. Other than that they will be lower league 'promising' players like Best and Perch, but slightly more 'promising' and expensive. Is it just me or does anyone else think that the Tiote and Ben Arfa deals in these past couple transfer windows is gonna be a hindrance this transfer window. I think the club will be pretty narrow-minded in the transfers this summer in thinking "We got Ben Arfa and Tiote for next to nowt from lesser leagues, why dont we go do it again and spend next to nowt on players in the lesser leagues and hope they come good like Ben Arfa and Tiote" I honestly don't see us spending more than £6 Million on any one player

Well thompson has come out and said that its a done deal so id imagine he does want to leave if thats the case. Thompson will look like a propper tit if its not true. Why would he say it on TV if it wasnt? It's only Phil Thompson, and if there was as much truth in it there would have been alot more coverage on it apart from Thompson supposedly saying it on Norwegian tele. But i think people going on about him not giving a shit anymore because of a few performances were he's been carrying niggles, and not hitting the heights of the form we know he's capable of are wrong. I thought he was solid defensively today, it just we're not seeing these lung busting runs as much For i do agree with the form aspect it was more so his facial and body language today....looked fed up and pissed off. I think most players were today though, we didn't really have a stand-out player, they all looked short of that extra bit of quality a guile. Regards to selling him though it depends on the circumstances, I wouldn't sell him if we we're keeping hold of Barton and others (This is the least likely option) But i think if we looked as though we didn't have ambition in this market and were letting people go then i think our hand would be turned into selling him because he'll want to leave for the sake of his career and not for the lack of love for this club

He's a victim of his own good form IMO a few less than impressive games and people are on his back saying he wants to leave, i don't think he wants to leave just it's hard to keep up the kind of form he's showed for 38 games of the season

Yeah you are The problem is he's fucking up our backline again, when there is no need to do it Well i called it so....others in the job think he can do it also. I reckon he will be a beast in the midfield today. No shola? He might do it you never know, on paper he looks as though he'd be good there, but to take our most consistent performer all season out of our back-line is madness, just plain stupidity from Pardew Youd have to say that to back up your shit slinging. Fact is i was right and you were wrong. And you live in ashington. Fucking hell, what has where i live got to do with anything? Please do tell? I'd love to know. It is stupid FFS how can you defend fucking up our back line? Ive got no problem with Coloccini playing midfield, quote me where i say it, the problem i had was ripping up our back line And the shit slinging, and calling you a tool was at your positivity bullshit, and thinking it's ok to fuck our defence up, so therefore you're a tool aswell as Pardew. The way you're going on saying your right about you calling Coloccini in midfield is pure pathetic IMO take your head out your arse -

He isnt. But he could do a good job. How come im the one slated for that suggestion when theres other, more repsected members on here who also suggested it. Fickle. Is that your idea of an intelligent response? I never ever said that i changed the outcome of a game from watching it at home and being positive. Never. Thats madness. I did say that if the majority of toon fans were positive about in their outlook for the club then, things would be rosier. Positivity breeds positivity. Its a fact. Its science. But if you cant grasp it...pipe the fuck down and wallow in your self pitying pessimism. It was 5th and Sir Bobby to the question you asked before It's not a fact nor science, if thats the case, everyone with a positive outlook on life would not get any illnesses, live for ages and be rich The thing i can't grasp is how you being positive has any effect on the outcomes of games etc
