Your ideal signings for next season?.
StoneColdStephenIreland replied to henda11's topic in Newcastle Forum
My experience tells me that when you buy a wow-signing, it doesn't improve the team at all, but turnst the club into a vehicle for the signing, rather than a club in its own right. There are exceptions, but I think what I say is the rule rather than the exception. And when we bought Keegan as a player. it took two years before we were promoted, and it was every bit as much thanks to Beardsley and Waddle, as it was to Keegan. Beardsley and Waddle were good players, James friggin Coppinger isn't nor are those other players you mentioned, you plank -
It'll be bull, one thing Liverpool doesnt need is another CM and they need pacey wingers too, theyve probably got one of the slowest teams in the Premiership

Steven Gerrard also an Evertonian as a kid. Make me sick just thinking of the team we could of had, whilst instead I had to watch the likes of Mitch Ward, Barry Horne and Earl Barrett strutting their stuff for us lol! Even when we finally did have a decent player like Nick Barmby he then just fucked off to them twats Although they did end up with Abel Xavier and haven't bought from us since so all's well that ends well Owen was an Evertonian aswell wasn't he? Plus i don't think Bartons that bothered about Everton anymore and his allegiance to them, didnt he flash his arse to the supporters when he played for Citeh?

And Carroll went to Liverpool.... Loyalty doesnt really count for anything in football nowadays

Hadaway with yasel man

They're right to look there tbh. There's some decent players amongst some poor sides. I get the feeling though that they'll prefer to look to lesser leagues (Dutch and French namely) where the wages are substantially lower. Their success with Tiote and Ben Arfa will lead them to naively thinking it's easy going also. Ive got that feeling also where the club will think every player we sign for 3-4 million will take to the Premiership like Tiote and Ben Arfa when realistically, it only really happens once in 10-15 players from the lesser European leagues

If West Ham go down, we're blatantly gonna be the first in line for his signature Just imagine it now, Cole and Ameobi upfront next season, i think we'll break the world record for most offsides in a game considering how lazy they are

Eh? We have done this with practically every youngster possible. Taverner Edmundsson, Forster Donaldson, Kadar, Tozer and Lua Lua (off the top of my head ) have all been out on loan this season. Weve only just began to do it this season and most of them were in the 2nd half of the season, but apart from Forster i dont really seeing any of them challenging the first team anytime soon, possibly Kadar and Lua Lua but theyve hardly had any loan game playing time to prove theyre up to standard I dont get why we dont send the likes of Vuckic and Richardson out on loan, who seem closer to the first team and according to reports etc have the most potential about them Because Vukic has been injured and the squad is paper thin. Aye i get where youre coming from but even while our squad is paper thin, i dont see them getting onto the pitch anytime soon for us, so why not get them out on loan, it would benefit us more in the long term

I don't get why we dont send these youngsters out on loan. As a club we never seem to do this and i think thats the reason why we dont see as many coming through our ranks. I'd much rather see them getting proper game time and learning the game in the Championship down to league 2 instead of making 3 apearances on our bench all season and not getting any game time, it's totally pointless I'm with you Leazes aswell, this summer is only gonna be a bitter disappointment, filled with false promises and shyte players unfortunately

GK - I don't think we need one tbh, the money can go on another position Defenders - Depends what happens to Enrique but Taiwo would be a good replacement and no RB's and CB's spring to mind Midfield - I'd love to see Matt Jarvis here and maybe see if we can keep Stephen Ireland for a few mill, not too much though Strikers - Oscar Cardozo from Benfica and Ola Toivonen from PSV -
This has surely got to be Derek Llambias

Wenger is now basically a joke.
StoneColdStephenIreland replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
They're a good team, but they can be so much better, and fulfill their potential, if only Wenger didn't try and keep outsmarting himself by signing players that take 2-3 years to develop. Sczeszny will be IMO a great keeper, but in a few years time, they could easily get Given and that will give Sczeszny a few year to develop without pressure, and they will have a great keeper for the time being for while sczeszny develops. They need a leader of a CB, someone who dishes out instructions and doesnt mess on when coming to the basics of defending, and the same goes for a CM, a Tiote type player who can dominate a game and let the rest of the players get on with their jobs. They could easily win the Premier League next year if Wenger adapted his attitude, unlike Pardew, they have a board who will back him to the hilt, but he doesnt do anything worthwhile with it It reminds me of Newcastle but vice/versa to some extent, they have a board who will back their manager, but thier manager wont do anything with the money, yet we have a board who wont back their manager, yet we have so much potential like Arsenal, if the people involved werent being so stubborn about thier jobs. (BTW i'm not in no way saying we are on the same level as arsenal, but both clubs could be bigger than they are atm, thats the link im making) -
We'll have no chance of getting him, he'll cost between £12-15 million with him now scoring goals and being young and English on top of that he's on 60k a week, so taking all of these things into account, we can safely say he will not be on our shopping list in the summer

How Samaras plays professional football is beyond me
-
He's supposed to be one of the best young prospects in Europe from what i've heard about him
-
cant stand man u and would have anyone win it apart from them. it would be nice for arsenal to win because of the fantastic football they play. for the same reason i would like blackpool to stay up I used to think that too but Arsenal simply do not deserve to win the league with their approach that has failed them consistently over the last five years, most of which is due to Wenger, who is an irritating whining shitbag. Love the Fabregas (also a twat) interview this week where he says that Wenger would have been sacked ages ago if he was managing a team of similar status in Spain. ("misquoted", obviously ). This is the difference between why Wenger is not a great manager and Ferguson is, if Fergie had even a little inkling there was a weakness in his team, he'd address it straight away and not try and outsmart himself and think of excuses to get around it, yet Wenger constantly does it and blames anyone but himself and his players. Arsenal could win the league, if Wenger adapted his management style, and thats what is holding them back, you would never see Man Utd, Chelsea or City surrendering as many costly leads as Arsenal do

Alan Pardew vows to stay Positive

Very good hardly equals worlds greatest As far as I was aware he had a reputation as a good scout for Spurs and Man City, prior to joining us. It wasn't quoted directly at you, it just seems that everyone's jumping on the bandwagon because he's signed one good player for us, and thinking he's gonna sign a Tiote every season when it's clearly not gonna happen
