  1. At least with Mort we got a bit of information from the fucker, Llambias just sits there licking Ashleys hoop looking like a fat version of Jim's dad from American Pie, everything about the fucker's twatful
  2. True, though it took another six months or so for the shit to hit the fan. It’s fairly irrelevant anyway, there were plenty of PL clubs in a less than healthy financial position at the start of 07/08 and none of them went out business due to the credit crunch. If Ashley couldn’t afford to run NUFC in a manner befitting our status as one of the world’s best supported clubs he shouldn’t have bought the club. He should have kept his nose out of business and left Hall and Shepherd to deal with the financial issues they had created. Leazes is ganna gan akka when he see's that, and then this thread will continue to become a tedious fucking debate of Ashley v Shepherd for the 400th fucking time!
  3. Being honest and realistic tbh. I'm sure I'll watch it, just exaggerating. No its pessimistic and negative as fuck. It doesnt do any good. Positivity breeds positivity 3:0 Your positivity is rooted in nothing though. What has suggested in recent performances that we'll beat these? We've got injuries to an already depleted strike force and our key midfielder missing against a side who will batter us around in the middle of the park. Tbh i dont get it neither, away from Matchdays i'm the most pessimistic fan you can find, if we were top of the league i'd be looking how many points off relegation we were, but when i get to St James' i do nothing but get behind the team, no booing, nothing, just constant support for them. And for the first time in a while i thought we were gonna win a game against Everton and get a 2-0 win.....That teaches me for being positive
  4. It's a tough decision. If Ranger starts he'll need to come off because he seems to lose direction after a little while. He's effective when fresh then it seems to go to pieces. Lovenkrands doesn't impose himself much or at all. He makes the runs and sometimes gets in good positions, but when you don't have great passers to pick him out he seldom gets much meaningful involvement. Looking forward to this with nervous trepidation. It's just when we have played these teams in and around us we've never looked like going for the win from the start, and look at our record at home this season against teams like Wolves, it's not good reading, the amount of points we've dropped is shocking and our performances haven't meritted 3 points neither it all just seems to be the players being casual on the ball and the way they approach things, but i think maybe giving Ranger a start might go a little way to us starting positively, because when he comes on he adds bit of energy to us, something that Lovenkrands doesn't
  5. Sorry about that T does = Tevez then Mistake on my part, i got the quiz a couple month back so obviously Tevez has just overtaken him Oopsies
  6. I'd rather see Ranger getting a start ahead of Lovenkrands, cos normally these 3 o clock kick offs start awfully with no energy from the start at all, and i reckon Ranger might just spark a little energy into the team from the off instead of the last 20 mins
  7. Pardew Babble Pardew said: "We have made that statement pretty clear at the beginning of the week, that the investment is going in now in terms of budgets to try to scout players and make sure we try to cover all the angles and bring in the correct players for Newcastle United. I think this is pretty clear indication (not that we needed didn't know already), that the Carroll money isn't just going onto transfers, but on wages and probably some other places where it really doesnt need to go
  8. I catch the darts whenever i can like, would like to gan the Arena when the Premier League rolls into town, but nen of me mates fancy it or are organised enough to get it sorted
  9. Aye, shirley he's had more than Torres? Possibly has actually, i got this in an e-mail a few month back at work, as an excel document and Torres was the answer back then and this was just before Christmas, but i was just going off the answers that was given on there. Ive just tried to research it on the net but the work internet filters are blocking the pages that may have the answer
  10. That's what i'm hoping for, but he'll probably end up costing a few more million than he should with him just getting an england cap, being young and of course the main factor being english Agreed, hopefully we'll be willing to pay the bit extra to bring in players who have shown they can handle them Prem we'll soon find out I guess. Would be good cover for both wings but id rather go get jeremain lens who can also play upfront. I'm not really up to date on this Jermain Lens kidda, but i'd rather have a winger and a striker, than a winger who can occasionally play as a striker, cos is it Holland he plays in? Being a winger come striker over there is a whole different proposition than doing the same role over here in the Premiership
  11. Agreed next person to mention Shepherd or muslims should be banned. We should have a weeks ban on using those two words. Without bothering to read all this thread, how the hell did the word 'muslims' become involved in all this? The two words are killing the forum in the same way, the words blow and job killed Clinton's presidency.
  12. Aye that's it there for you, in all its quizzical glory
  13. That's what i'm hoping for, but he'll probably end up costing a few more million than he should with him just getting an england cap, being young and of course the main factor being english
  14. If you honestly think were gonna be picking up players like Tiote and Ben Arfa left, right and centre from now on your mistaken, do you know how hard it is to uncover gems like that in this climate without other clubs picking up on them first or outbidding or being a more lucrative offer than us. We were fortunate that Ben Arfa had the desire to actually want and force through a move to us and our scouting system was very, very good at picking up Tiote from out of no where Unfortunately i do see us picking up some lower league players but Shane Long and the likes are not gonna cut it and take us forward, history has proved that the players from the lower leagues cost quite a few million, the likes of Lescott, Jagielka and so on, but do i see us forking out that amount of money for players from the Championship? I don't.
  15. Ding ding ding There we gan, every letter's been got N = Nolan
  16. Sorry it's not Nielsen Yous'll be kicking yourselves that you aint got this one earlier
  17. Good calls, B is Beattie and I is Ince, which are the ones i struggled with when i first got this. Torres I'm surprised wasn't one of the first names people got. Now it's just N to get....I would give you a clue, but that would make it to easy, get guessing lads
  18. :icon_lol: On the bus back from the Barnsley away game last year, an owld fogie came out with the saying to his mate "When i used to shoot me i could hit that sign ower there from here, noo it just comes oot in clusterbombs" Friggin Clusterbombs! I divn't wanna get old, if thats what happens
  19. He's the kind of signing i could see us making under this regime unfortunately Shame he's utter ballsack
  20. Article on Sky Sports i think were reporting that us and a number of other clubs were at the ROI v Uruguay game watching Shane Long I'm still holding out hope it was Forlan though
