If Ashley even has an inkling that Barton just wants to run down his contract, he'll be shipped out ASAP and thenmade to look a villain because he wouldnt sign a contract mainly because Ashley isn't progressing the team

I Loved it absolutely loved it last night. Atmosphere was cracking and the players put in a sterling performance, can't think of one player who played badly and let the team down IMO I've missed the atmosphere up in Level 7 but last night it was excellent, never heard the Man U fans once over the top of us, and the "Yaya Toure" and the Lech Poznan Jumping about was canny aswell, just looking over at the Man U fans and seeing them standing about with no response was priceless, I think the fans and players should be pretty proud to have keep the atmosphere up and the players to not hide away on the pitch and put in a decent performance

Nothing on the face of it, but people are often utterly powerless to do the things they want to do when the ultimate power on any given situation they are in is in the hands of the very powerful and fabuously wealthy. I bet Alan Pardew wanted to keep Andy Carroll, but was powerless to. I bet the folk at UEFA are very noble and sincere in stopping the power of the English clubs creating a more level playing field for football, but the power in football isnt in their hands, it's in the hands of the people who finance football, not who govern it. This is a bit like shutting the door after the horse has bolted (the horse probably fucked off about 15 years ago tbh) if you ask me and will make little or no difference. But fair play to them, on the face of it we may do well in this system, but even if the changes do stick and we are one of the best financed teams, Newcastle United will find a way of royally fucking things up anyway. Then Blatter and Platini etc can have their African dictatorships and banana republics all to themselves playing for the micky mouse WC instead. There's absolutely no way UEFA will have the cojones to kick a Man U, Real, Barca out of the Champions League if they dont fall into their policy, it'll turn out to be a shambles IMO

I've never been into Shearers i just think its another way of stripping the club of its identity (Divnt think thats the right word to use, but me minds drew a blank and its the closest i can get to what i mean)

Just been on Facebook and seen the United for Newcastle group has posted that Shearer's bar is being re-furbished over the summer and won't be named Shearer's anymore. Anyone heard anything on this?

The fact he took the job under those conditions is partly why I have no respect for him. Any manager we get is going to have to work under those circumstances under Ashley unfortunately. He's tryed to do his best under the situation, but i dont hate him, nor do i like him
