Aston Villa vs Newcastle United
StoneColdStephenIreland replied to JimLad's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think if R Taylor is back, he'll probably get a start on he right, with Barton shifting into the middle -
Has to be Perch, he was out of his depth in the friendlies he played in never mind Premiership football. He probably has some decent banter bless him, just a shame hes shyte

Hopefully the new shirt will be made of better material. Is it just me or does it chafe the nipples something rotten!

We need to start and get players out on loan, it seems as though Newcastle are one of the few teams apart from the last few months to be scared to let their players out on loan, which annoys me, why have them sitting in the reserves instead of getting games at a decent level in the Championship/League 1 Ben Arfa's an attacking midfielder/Winger not a striker, and we should let Ranger out on loan, let Lovenkrands go and get 2 strikers in and keep Best and Shola as 3rd and 4th strikers

Used to play Wembley doubles on the park field with Mark Cullen who palys for Hull and scored in the Prem last season, now he's on loan at Bradford

i done that a couple of times last season saved me a tenner each time I wouldnt be able to afford to gan to games if i paid adult prices, plus ive never got enough money in the bank at the start of the season anyway to even think of getting a season ticket, but getting Juveniles has saved me a good few hundred quid and means i aint missed a game for the past few season
-
when you order tickets, order Juvenile tickets from the net, it's saved me a good couple hundred quid these past years, no one checks when you scan your ticket

That's one of the most depressing paragraphs i've read on here , sign of the time though. Crouch and Zamora are both awful, don't rate either, especially crouch, as big as he is unlike carroll he's crap with his head and he just looks "awkward" when he challenges in the air which leads to so many freekicks it's unreal, 90% of the time it's not a foul but because the challenge looks odd they get given. As much as bellamy is a cunt he's some player for a couple of million and sensible wages we could do a lot worse. Someone like Oscar Cardozo would be great for sensnible money and all to play alongside someone with pace and finishing ability. Totally forgot about Cardozo, he's a good shout like, has a canny goalscoring record and is a big target man too, should be under £10 mill but do i see us forking out that money on one player, i doubt it

I never EVER said that i was 50% responsible. What a fuckin load of shit. What i said was that if more people were positive then more positive things will happen. Basic science really. The law of attraction. Read the book. Open your little narrow mind. The atmosphere is shit and why? Because everyone is feeling sorry for themselves because of FMA. Get a fucking grip. We will come out the other end a better club for all the shit that has happened. As for you and others saying "i am negative, iv no reason to be positive...err but i support the lads when im there" Why is the atmosphere so shit then if everyone leaves the negativity at home? No. Reason to be positive is we are in the PL, we have played some good football at times this season, we have the foundations of a good side and although frustrating, what FMA is trying to do is put us on a solid financial footing. Its not a bad thing. As for coloccini playing in the DCM role being a load of shit....again...get a fuckin grip. Im not the only one who has suggested this. He is composed on the ball, clever in the tackle, got a bit of skill and can pass. Who would you put in there instead? As for Nolan....fuckin read what i said about him you fuckin mongoloid. You go on as though you're the sole reason why we win games and that when your positive and Newcastle win you go on with the attitude of someone going "I told you so" Yet when we lose, you blame it on the negativity on here, but when those 'negative' fans go to the games they are 100% behind the team from the first to the last minute, and you go on like you're a better fan than the rest of us because you're optimistic and we're pessimistic The atmosphere of a game comes down to a number of things, as stated before, like, form, like the time of kick-off as night time games always have better atmospheres than day-time games, it also depends on whether the away fans are up for a bit of banter too and the way the team is performing on the pitch, its not because solely becaue of Mike Ashley but it is a small factor in matchday atmospheres. We might come out of all this a better club, but we might not,you dont know this, i dont kow this, but can you blame people for being pessimistic due to the amount of crap Ashleys put us through, can you really expect us to have smiles on our faces Saying "Don't worry, everything will be alright, because i'm thinking positive, happy thoughts"? He might be trying to put us on a good financial footing but he's went about it in the total wrong way. And yes putting Coloccini in there would be a bad idea, he's by far our best CB, he's thrived in that position all season, why change that, yes he can pass a ball, yes he's composed and has great trickery, and he probably would do well there, but to disrupt our back line is a bad idea, and IMO Guthrie had a good yet unremarkable game on Saturday, he done nothing wrong to say he should be dropped for the next game. Yeah youre saying to drop him to the bench to make way for Taarabt, an unproven player at Premier League level, and to say to take the armband of him and to use him less is a total disrespect to what he's done for this club the past couple seasons, and would totally undermine the things he has brought to the club -

Just read over these past few pages and it's confirmed that Tiote's Nutz knows fuck all. Going on as though you're the fucking Messiah babbling on as though your positivity was 50% behind the team winning today, take your head out your arse for a second and think before you post, saying that the people on here who are negative and go to the games are the reason behind the shyte atmospheres and the team performing poorly in home games, I'm negative and if youve watched the recent games and if you knew what Newcastle were like you'd know that there are very few things to stay constantly positive about, like the results weve had against teams like Wolves at home, but when i get to St James' park, I'm behind the team constantly from the first whistle to the last, constantly looking to get the best out of the team, you go on about the atmosphere as though banter with away fans has nothing to do with it, performance of the team has nothing to do with it, and whether it's a day/night game. And to say to play Coloccini in CM, thats just plain stupidity, we'd be fucked taking him out the backline, he's saved us a good few points playing there and to knack the back line up and put him in a position he knows noting about just stupid again, he might play well, but its too much of a risk to even take hom out of a position in which he's been one of our best players this season To even think about dropping Nolan is madness, our top scorer and trying to justify your opinion by saying its cos he doesnt run around as much as you want him too, Howay man! Nolan's central to our dressing room and making him a scapegoat would wreck the harmony in the dressing room and to replace him with a player who's had a good season in the Championship but unproven at this level is just madness -
Aye Vuckic was injured for a few month or so, but we need 2 new strikers in to freshen it up upfront, we can't go through another season risking scoring goals on Shola and Best, no way will they carry it on for a whole season, and Vuckic will need a few games out on loan before we throw hin into the first team

How come you don't acknowledge the fact Leazes, that we were on a downward spiral when we were coming to the end of Shepherds reign at the club, and yes we were you cant deny that fact, but you seem to ignore each and every post about it, because you can't defend it, and no i'm not defending Ashley or bigging the fat bastard up, becasue he sped up the process of us going spiralling downwards, but ignoring the failings of the Shepherd reign is pure ignorance and only seeking out the good in his reign is ignorance too, and yes there were good times, yet there was bad times which you seem to paper over with the same constant babble -

I think he'll drop Campbell for the game (well i hope so) and Guthrie will come in for Tiote and the rest of the team speaks for itself really with Barton on the right and Gutierrez on the left and Lovenkrands and Ameobi up top, that is if Enrique and Gutierrez pass fitness tests -
Can't remember what game it was for, might have been WBA at home last year, but didnt they have an ice cream called colo-creamy and it was some sort of purpley colour, so im guessing this is the stuff right here?

True, though it took another six months or so for the shit to hit the fan. It’s fairly irrelevant anyway, there were plenty of PL clubs in a less than healthy financial position at the start of 07/08 and none of them went out business due to the credit crunch. If Ashley couldn’t afford to run NUFC in a manner befitting our status as one of the world’s best supported clubs he shouldn’t have bought the club. He should have kept his nose out of business and left Hall and Shepherd to deal with the financial issues they had created. Leazes is ganna gan akka when he see's that, and then this thread will continue to become a tedious fucking debate of Ashley v Shepherd for the 400th fucking time! -

Being honest and realistic tbh. I'm sure I'll watch it, just exaggerating. No its pessimistic and negative as fuck. It doesnt do any good. Positivity breeds positivity 3:0 Your positivity is rooted in nothing though. What has suggested in recent performances that we'll beat these? We've got injuries to an already depleted strike force and our key midfielder missing against a side who will batter us around in the middle of the park. Tbh i dont get it neither, away from Matchdays i'm the most pessimistic fan you can find, if we were top of the league i'd be looking how many points off relegation we were, but when i get to St James' i do nothing but get behind the team, no booing, nothing, just constant support for them. And for the first time in a while i thought we were gonna win a game against Everton and get a 2-0 win.....That teaches me for being positive -

It's a tough decision. If Ranger starts he'll need to come off because he seems to lose direction after a little while. He's effective when fresh then it seems to go to pieces. Lovenkrands doesn't impose himself much or at all. He makes the runs and sometimes gets in good positions, but when you don't have great passers to pick him out he seldom gets much meaningful involvement. Looking forward to this with nervous trepidation. It's just when we have played these teams in and around us we've never looked like going for the win from the start, and look at our record at home this season against teams like Wolves, it's not good reading, the amount of points we've dropped is shocking and our performances haven't meritted 3 points neither it all just seems to be the players being casual on the ball and the way they approach things, but i think maybe giving Ranger a start might go a little way to us starting positively, because when he comes on he adds bit of energy to us, something that Lovenkrands doesn't -
Sorry about that T does = Tevez then Mistake on my part, i got the quiz a couple month back so obviously Tevez has just overtaken him Oopsies

I'd rather see Ranger getting a start ahead of Lovenkrands, cos normally these 3 o clock kick offs start awfully with no energy from the start at all, and i reckon Ranger might just spark a little energy into the team from the off instead of the last 20 mins -

Pardew Babble Pardew said: "We have made that statement pretty clear at the beginning of the week, that the investment is going in now in terms of budgets to try to scout players and make sure we try to cover all the angles and bring in the correct players for Newcastle United. I think this is pretty clear indication (not that we needed didn't know already), that the Carroll money isn't just going onto transfers, but on wages and probably some other places where it really doesnt need to go -
I catch the darts whenever i can like, would like to gan the Arena when the Premier League rolls into town, but nen of me mates fancy it or are organised enough to get it sorted
