    I was shocked at people hating on Cabaye for wanting away to PSG. He doesn't have an affiliation towards Newcastle, he doesn't support us, he wasn't brought up here and he wasn't gonna win anything here, so I wasn't surprised he wanted out to a club battling for trophies and in Europe in his home nation. Yeah he went on strike but I would have done the same in the circumstances. (At a different club, not my supported team.)

    I do find it puzzling how he plays with 3 creative players behind a striker at Palace but here he would always drop them every chance he got for a "grafter".

    Carvers averaging less than Warnock did at Palace so far this season. If we'd have capitalised and got a good manager in, Palace would still be a good few points behind us. The media is printing it like Palace have got a messiah without taking into consideration the arsehole we've now got in charge.

    The expectation we put under my own management gave us pressure. We had Europa League and there issues with the squad size. The whole area - its tough because its got the most unemployment in the country and the government need to look at that and they need some investment in the North-East. And therefore you could get more sponsorship coming into the ground and more corporate money coming in which would boost the funds. The funds at Newcastle are way, way below Liverpool and Spurs and thats the teams that Newcastle expect to compete with.

    We only need a couple draws or one win to be "sure". I think we're safe as it is now thanks to there being a few teams below us that cushions us from going down and a number of those teams needing to strike form which they haven't looked like doing all season.

    I know he hasn't been in good form but I'd get Riviere on for Gouffran. Need another presence in the box and all I've noticed this game is Gouffran losing the ball.

    Wasn't the reasoning for loaning him because we wouldn't have got an offer like the 2.8m in the summer? Any amount of teams would have took him for that price ffs.

    Wonder if 'Arrys knees are up to the job as him and Sunderland love spunking millions on old past it players. Defoe is even there for him so that will save him going out and buying him.
