Who should be monarch of an independent Scotland?

First you bring up cock-sizes, then you make implications about homosexuality. Come out of the closet, old chap -
I hope their story-inventing football journoes don't get jobs in any media which I consume.

If I told you Kevin Keegan once kissed Margaret Thatcher, you'd laugh in my face... Well...

Progressive clubs??? So being bought by some saddo, who clearly doesn't feel loved enough, is LM's idea of progression.

17 minutes before this thread appeared, I posted this (not very funny, but harmless) joke. I think Howmanheyman takes things a little too much to heart. Do you like noodles

didnt you get told (and promise to) reign in the incessant thread making? I think I've kept my promise, but if you want to see it word for word, it's on the N'Zogbie thread.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd feel a bit low if I made threads like this.

At the risk of getting some stick, this train of thought bothers me a bit. I was born in Hong Kong therefore I'm Chinese? For the record I've a white Geordie Father and a white Northern Irish Mother and think the Chinese language is a practical joke that got out of hand. Do you like noodles

Britain alone should decide whether it's the oldest son or the oldest child. It is Britain who pays for the royal family. -

Well he seems to be pulling them very well. 12th place, in our first season back, plus 35 mill into the bargain. -

The 4 year cost of e.g. £35m should always be set in the context of the 4 year revenues i.e. £380-400m. The cost of wages in year 2 is always offset year 2 revenues. It's a really simple dynamic model. Well of course 1 player isn't going to snap up the entire year's revenue for fark's sake!!! But it is important that the whole squad doesn't snap up the entire year's revenue!!! -

I think liking horses is one of the few prerequisites. -
Scotland's big chief Alex Salmond has announced that if the Scots vote for independence, the country will remain a monarchy. He has also announced that the monarch will be Queen Elizabeth of England, in the same way that she is queen of Canada. However, England has, as we all know, a law that says that the monarch is succeeded by his/her eldest son, and only if there are no sons, does the eldest daughter get a look in. Is Scotland going to ponder the fairness of this, or will they just follow whatever Westminster says (surely this would be totally against everything the SNP stands for). Also, what would be wrong with Scotland inviting Prince Andrew to be king, or indeed Princess Anne to be queen as she is the 2nd oldest of the Queen's children. Then they would still have a monarch who was directly descended from James Stewart. And how would people feel if England and Scotland were separate states, but had the same monarch? That's how it was from 1603 to 1707. What if there was a war between England and Scotland? Who would the monarch support?

Sorry, I edited it, since I put it in the wrong place. I'm going to move the stuff about the Queen to the general room.

Should we look into buying Bothroyd from Cardiff?

And afterwards, he went to Barcelona, and had a fine assist in the 2006 Champions League Final Victory (you can see the fine assist here, on 2.32) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP4mJXDAvK4...feature=related

'You pay peanuts, you get monkeys', can easily be countered with 'fool and his money are soon parted' By all means, spend a lot, spend little, but please, whatever you do, spend wisely! mac Toon, I think the club have done very well, unearthing Tiote and Ben Arfa, and getting loads of money for Carroll. -

Whether Carroll had been sold or not, I'd hope the scouts tried to find as good bargains as possible. We've got that 35 million, but spending money is the easier thing in the world. The art is to spend it wisely, and that means not all in one summer. Michael Owen cost us about 35 million, wages and fee combined. -

But people totally ignore wages for players. The wage bill must be somewhere around 45 million, or even more. Whether or not people think that they can just pretend the wage bill doesn't exist, the fact remains that it does. And when you have finished telling me I'm spouting Ashey propaganda, then ask yourself, if my Ashley propaganda is true or not.
