  2. Hey, it's something to do between visits to the shed.
  3. The main problem there (other than them having politely asked people to avoid using the usual routes at the usual time ever since the start of lockdown, and people respecting that because they like parkrun more than they like Boris Johnson ) is a practical one - parkrun works on a minimal equipment basis to make it as easy and accessible as possible for people to volunteer, so the timing etc. is all manual and everyone needs to start at the same time for that to work. Anyway, the reason I finally remembered to reply to your post is because this morning parkrun have published this: https://volunteer.parkrun.com/principles/open-with-covid-19-management-system Which is not only pretty comprehensive but seems to be more sensible than a lot of what the government have come out with for pubs and shops and the like. Although ultimately it's a very long way of saying "keep apart and don't spit". Which could already be asking too much of some of the runners you encounter...
  4. I can't believe more people didn't do their government-mandated daily exercise during lockdown, with all the benefits of no suitable infrastructure for doing so, getting hacky looks off people who've misunderstood the guidance and having to run in the road to keep your distance from couples who insist on walking side by side. It was fun!
  5. Biden's VP pick could be pretty important, given they'll obviously be doing a lot of the work if not taking over outright.
  6. Jewish/sushi fusion restaurant?
  7. Nothing is ever coincidental in advertising, mind. The phallic stuff might be a bit of a stretch but they're definitely playing for the ME BIG MASSIVE CAR CRUSH FRAGILE WEAK THINGS wallet there.
  8. We can all settle on "UKolibobs", yah?
  9. Aye. It's like they think no one else will have had the bright idea of going to a famously popular beach on the hottest weekend of the year. I needed a bit of a break from the city so I finally made a non-essential train journey last Sunday, from Lewisham to just outside London to hike a chunk of the North Downs Way, and there was literally one other person in my carriage the whole way each way. One of the country parks on the route was busy with young families but pleasantly so. It can't be that hard to find things to do that are going to be slightly less crowded.
  10. I know I never mention this particular grievance, but if the government really cared about people's physical health they'd have found a way to let parkrun restart by now. 200,000 people a week getting some exercise for free, thousands more getting the mental health and social benefits of volunteering - GPs even prescribe it now. But indoor gyms and the like make money whereas an outdoor volunteer-led event doesn't, so...
  11. وسيوقع ترانكيلو بارنيتا قبل يوم الجمعة
  12. I can't imagine religion being the kind of thing where worshipping a hugely similar but slightly different deity would pose a problem.
  13. Fortunately you don't have to Hope this helps
  14. They voted the one time it really mattered, unfortunately.
