  1. If Johnson promotes Rishi to Chancellor and appoints a replacement as Chief Secretary to the Treasury, what's the net increase in the size of the Cabinet?
  2. If it helps, I still think you're wrong about almost everything else.
  3. The claim is both mathematically justifiable and obvious political grandstanding. The two are not mutually exclusive. (Fucking Lib Dems always sitting on the fence etc.)
  4. There was a couple of years where they played this pre-match a lot.
  5. Good to see all this Project Fear stuff turning out to be... oh, right, reality. https://amp.theguardian.com/politics/2020/feb/10/checks-on-eu-bound-goods-inevitable-gove-tells-business-leaders Cracking.
  6. Not bad. I'm always surprised at just how collectible some things are... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RARE-1972-EUROVISION-SONG-CONTEST-PROGRAMME-EDINBURGH-USHER-HALL-NEW-SEEKERS/293451734519?hash=item4453161df7:g:JBoAAOSw~8leMv32
  7. Metre for metre, if you scale up from the Garden Bridge you're talking £5bn. But I reckon that's a conservative estimate (no pun intended). The Garden Bridge did have a few trees to price in, of course, whereas the Scotland-NI plan... oh.
  8. I've no idea if that's true, but he's a proper cathword so I choose to believe it.
  9. Steady on, I know Schofield's out but there are still limits
  10. I'm not a parent and don't especially want to be, so if I'm struggling to find the words to express how I feel about people who play with kids' lives like this, god knows how those of you with kids of your own feel. It's beyond sickening.
  11. https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2020/feb/07/rural-local-rail-routes-railway-lines-trains-europe-readers-tips I may need to make some 2020 plans...
  12. I don't have any particular preference at all and I don't understand why you assume I would, nor do I know to whom you're obliquely referring in most of the above. It's just fairly obvious that the middle ground is where this election will be won, given the many inherent weaknesses of the US system. If you're willing to alienate the swing-state soccer moms right from the get-go, you deserve to lose.
  13. Incidentally, we're all cool with Boris's dad being our diplomatic representative in the coronavirus crisis, yes?
  14. "They" being America's centrists. Let's hope for a candidate who actually appeals to them.
  15. I don't understand how you're so shit at life
