Fits the George Osborne model of government by undeveloped foetus, I suppose.
-
Rock and a hard place, I suppose - show any kind of reluctance to cooperate (even at the level of "we'll back your evil ploys, but would you please stop making Danny Alexander read them out to camera?") and you can be sure the Tory press would immediately spin it into "LIB DEMS HATE BRITAIN AND WANT YOUR GOVERNMENT TO FAIL". That said, I suspect you're right about their electoral prospects. And on a local level, Labour have every chance of getting back control of Newcastle council next time too.

Aye, no argument here.

"Broken Britain" is such a joke of a phrase. The kind of patronising guff that could only escape the lips of Tories and/or Little Englanders who've never actually met anyone lower-class or been in any kind of peril. On a related note, it's been posted before and it'll be posted again, but this is still fantastic: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12...-drunkards.html Still, the olden days were better...

Yes. Holy Grail and Life of Brian. Meaning of Life is canny though, it suffers by comparison but it's got some cracking moments. Drags a bit though.

My full driving license still has a photo of a 14 year old on it. I keep photos of 14-year-olds in my wallet too. Good man.

Seahouses while there's still a chance of decent weather!

Saw the two of them trading "barbs" in an interview yesterday. It was like sitting on the top deck of a bus in Peckham.

Self hating muslims? Curious christians? Anybody here actually read it btw? Please use spoilers, I don't want the ending ruined for me. Turns out Mohammed can see dead people.

better view... I love how their only (incorrect) argument is that there were no mines in Newcastle. They've ,unsurprisingly, totally missed the point of a city- a centre of commerce. For any Mackem lurkers here's how it works; 1) Fort is built 2) Fort is safe, traders live at fort 3) Market grows around fort 4) Fort becomes market town 5) Goods are taken to Market from production areas 6) Succesful town becomes City 7) Inbred neighbours down the road are doomed to generations of jealousy and bitterness 8) Inbred neighbours are eventually given the status of city just out of pity and they still dont shut the fuck up bitching about them up the road being better off 9) Inbred neighbours get own airport... oh wait.

Excellent pwnage.

To underline the point, there's even a semi-formal "Newcastles of the World" organisation with members from all over the world (though the city doesn't commit to it fully because it's already got plenty of decent twin town activities going on). Whereas Sunderland's namesakes comprise a hamlet in Cumbria, a small community in Ontario and four one-horse towns in the US, one of whose only claim to fame on Wikipedia is being the home of the "Dignity Village homeless settlement".

So much so that they all think he's an Islam.

And yet he instinctively knows that "Cock head" refers to "kophead". It's like Poirot, this.
-
It's not as if it'll ever happen, just like 99% of his crackpot ideas. It's a smokescreen to make people think FIFA are worrying about the evolution of the game so they don't ask what's happening about more relevant things like video assistance for refs.

Showed initial promise then went on to make a series of relentlessly shit films? Seems harsh.
