Some spend will be expected and will be funded by outgoing player sales, which will be worth more if we do better, but everytime MA is forced to spend it eats into money that could be going elsewhere. Fair enough but the available "Proven" options are playing in other positions and/or shit. I'd rather see us going to attack the game, 2 strikers, Cabella and Gouffran on the wings, Tiote holding and Sissoko getting forward.
