Not to say I dont agree but... according to their measures, debuchy, compared to zabaleta, made more tackles per game, more interceptions, fewer fouls, more clearances, was beaten less by dribbles, and blocked more shots. Obviously our defenders had to deal with more of those things since we weren't dominating games like city but its still sort of surprising when you compare them side by side, defensively at least he did have a better season individually. attack wise, 1 goal and 3 assists for Debuchy compared to 1 and 6 for Zabaleta, not that huge a differenc, especially when you consider the team working around Zabaleta.

Best rightback in europe this season according to whoscored now that the season is over, which isn't a shock since I mentioned it a week or so ago but what I hadn't realised was that only Rooney and Suarez have had more MotM awards this season than him. If we still have him come next season I will be utterly stunned. Bring back danny simpson!

As far as I know, these clauses only relate to the club accepting a bid which allows the player and bidding club to have talks. It'll be up to him if he fancies it or not. They're also not strictly enforceable iirc, as pointed out by the liverpool owner following arsenals bid for suarez in summer, he later admitted there was a clause and they just ignored it and still turned down the bid
