I thought the acting was atrocious, but loved the ideas and the execution otherwise. I'm sure it's been discussed previously and resulted in me being , but anyway, spoilers to follow.... I wonder if most people that hate it miss the blatant subtext, The descent into madness rather than the cave. After losing all that she loved, did she actually leave the hospital? Is it all just a fight with her inner demons? Is it better to cling to madness if in doing so you can still interact with those you've lost? If escaping the demons meant you'd live in pain for the rest of your days, why bother? It had some cool gore, and was insanely claustrophobic at times. I also love a downbeat ending. -
Jens Lekman - Oh You're So Silent Jens. Best album of '06 so far. A strangely upbeat melancholy melding of Beck style samples and acoustics; and Morrisey style lyricism. Lovely stuff.

I'll not bite. Planes Trains and Automobiles - It amazes me that Groundhog Day gets all this credit as one of the great comedies while Planes, Trains and Automobiles never gets a mention, probably because it's currently more fashionable to praise Bill Murray than it is John Candy. The car rental reception scene is a classic. -

A bloke is in a bar. He's so drunk he throws up all over himself. He tells the bartender, "What am I doing? When I go home my wife's going to kill me..." The bartender puts twenty pound in his shirt pocket and says, "Go home and tell your wife you were in a bar and a guy came up... he was drunk, threw up all over you, but put £20 in your shirt pocket." He goes home, walks in and his wife says, "look at you. You threw up all over yourself!" He goes, "Honey, a guy got drunk and threw up on me and he put £20 in my shirt pocket." She reaches in and pulls out £40 and says, "What's the other £20 for?" He says, "He shit in my pants, too!"

June Sarpong was on to reprazent for da yoof. She was good too. It was around Live 8 if I remember correctly and she spoke intelligently about Africa. Fit? Aye, nice body, but a face like Plug off the Bash Street Kids chewing a pitbull chewing a wasp. Adam Ricket represents no-one except shitty m-list celebs. Which youngsters are going to tune in for him? Unless they're trying to attract the gay viewer. He was shite too, from what I saw (only the last 10 minutes). Looked like he was going to cry whenever he spoke and the rest of the panel just looked at him like he was a dafty.

Fucking hell man Wacky! I ask you do to one thing for me and you can't even manage that! Now i'll no doubt have to get myself on e bay and pay 5 times the face value! 88541 5 times is about right.... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/3-x-ARCTIC-MONKEYS-S...1QQcmdZViewItem It's a fucking disgrace. My mate stood for 3 hours and they sold out when he was 20 odd places from the front. Canny funny really.

A former pop flop. He sang "I Breathe Again" after a short stint in Coronation Steet.

Why is Adam Ricket on Question Time?

And all gone by 6:20! 88337 Isn't that just your selected outlet? Been making regular checks on my mate in the Q and they're still being served at the box office. Only 200 tickets apparently, he reckons he's about 100th, so it doesn't look good, but....keep them crossed.

Sshshs. Keep it quiet, don't want everyone clogging up phone lines do we? 88282 Fuckin' impossible! Sold out already.... 88305 Mmmm. Lucky it's a sham and they'll be adding dates/extra tickets all over the shop in a few weeks. I've also got the backup of a mate in the Q at the academy. He'd best succeed. Slightly above average as they are, it'll be a QUALITY gig. 88309 These are the extra gigs as they are currently touring with the NME tour... 88312 Really? They're second on the bill for the NME tour. I was guessing their own headline tour would be more extensive. Looking at the dates, I don't suppose they'd squeeze any more in except at the end. But I'm sure they'll release another batch of tickets later on.

There's nowt worse than fat armpits, unless it's on someone who looks like Linda Barker. -
87339 Sorry. "Bluntamaniacs"
-
It's strange how singers putting on fake American accents don't get shit for it. I like the Streets personally. Infinitely better than James Blunt's cringeworthy lyrics. Half the people on here are Bluntamiacs.
