Paddocklad has to put a negative spin on everything. Yup, and luckily only the de Jong deal can be written off. Even if none of the aforementioned come in (you'd expect at least Debuchy will), they're of the calibre and type of player I'd like us to go after. Good players, good ages, good markets (maybe not Carroll) and none of them are superstars who'll cost stupid money and want stupid wages.

Yup, that's almost £16m isn't it? Fully support the club not wanting to spend that sort of money on a 21 year old who's had one impressive season in a mediocre league. We'd be blowing most of our transfer budget on one player (I imagine), or replacing an established quality player like Ba with someone who isn't as good.
