1. The first NUFC tops (actually I think I bought the whole 96/97 kit, socks included...) I bought were the grandad collar and its away counterpart So I'm going to go with those. I also liked the grey away kit with the three stripes in the middle, last season's third, that silver third kit we never wore from the relegation season I think it was, the Championship home kit... simply don't really like the adidas efforts from 97 onwards that much, but only in hindsight as I bought almost all of them at the time and must have liked them to do so.
2. Right, move on, and get some players in. I much prefer it when we do business quietly, like with Cisse when no-one knew a thing till the day he signed. I don't want any transfer sagas. We've moved on from de Jong, let's move on from whatever went on with Carroll tonight.
3. Also, a hearty lol @ "The 7th game in the Halo trilogy".
4. So bored of Halo, even if Reach and ODST spiced things up a little.
5. The idea of Carroll being a replacement for Ba does not sit well with me, especially as Carroll would only be on loan at first. If Ba goes then we need a permanent replacement straight away, and if he left I'd hope it'd be something who can play out wider than the aforementioned (Hoilett etc).
6. Just change your relationship status to Single on Facebook.
7. Ryder reckons the permanent fee would be around £13m. Fucking spend that on De Jong or something please Pardew.
8. On the other hand - he's certainly another option. Would like a wide forward as Jonny put it mind. Cisse, Carroll and Ba are at their best in the middle.
9. Am really not sure what to make of this. To be honest I'd rather have Ba and Cisse starting every game, of course after them we're thin on numbers after the departure of Best and Lovenkrands (and Ranger and Xisco likely too),. Thing is if we keep Ba then who is going to be happy sitting on the bench? Carroll? If he wants to impress Rodgers then he wants to be playing regularly. If he wants to get a move back here then it's a different matter. Either way I never like having loan players. I can't escape the fact that they're not Newcastle United players, it just feels a bit weird.
10. 30k! Sweet Jesus, mine was half that and I've paid some of it off. I went to uni at just the right time (before the fees skyrocketed).
11. Also we're playing Braga not Porto, which could mean Viana plays against us.
12. Den Haag friendly confirmed. http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20120715/magpies-heading-to-holland_2281670_2849833 Will be a special match for obvious reasons for Krul.
13. Why do people blame only Puma? I'm sure one or two people at the club have a say in what the kit will look like.
14. I just had a look - without an account mind you, don't know if that makes any difference - and there's nothing new on there, just a couple of tweets repeating what we already knew about Pardew shooting it down. After that there's nothing since the 12th...
15. Go to the club shop and try it on?
16. No, they say women can't drive, not can't cook.
17. Am desperate for the new season now. Feels just great to be so excited about the club again during pre-season. Really can't wait. Even worrying about keeping a hold of our key players, getting the three players in that we need, and getting through the Europa League play-off can dampen my excitement. edit; want competitive football in general to be honest, not just Newcastle. Euro 2012 was very enjoyable and only made me more eager for the new season. I've also found the first few weeks of the season to be some of the most entertaining and interesting to watch as you get to see lots of new players and new tactics, as well as three new (promoted) clubs.
18. Not a fan of the away kit? Am looking forward to seeing the third shirt but I'd probably not buy it as I'd like to wear something the players themselves will wear more than once or twice this season.
19. A month old this, but a good watch nonetheless. It's an interview via his brother. Biggest smile on his face (and he smiles a lot) is when talking about the fans.
20. Bigirimana came through the youth setup at Coventry whom he joined at 11 and is eligible to play for England, if that counts?
21. ARMA 2 is hardly shite iyam.
