Laughing at the media and pundits making DI Matteo out to be some genius because he's got a couple of wins under his belt and beat a team they really should be beating (take Inler, Hamsik, Lavezzi and Cavani out of the Napoli team and they're very average). He wasn't good enough for West Brom.

Feeling pretty good, especially since I came across an episode of Trailer Park Boys I'd somehow never seen or remembered seeing last night. Was glorious. You could write an essay on how Torres' career has nosedived as of late (dropped by Spain as well don't forget). Like Di Matteo says, it's likely to be mostly a psychological thing but there has to be more than that to it. His actual performances haven't been that bad a lot of the time, he's putting the effort in to help his teammates out but has completely lost that scoring touch he used to have. His record for Liverpool is world class and for a while he had the world at his feet - won the Euros for Spain etc. He's only 27 and he's had his injuries but I don't think said injuries are significantly to blame or anything. He's no longer a predator basically, like all good strikers are.

Well yeah, it sort of alludes to how reliant we are on his goals, we need him scoring to win it seems. He couldn't keep up that scoring rate for the whole season to be fair to him, even Van Persie will go a couple of games without scoring. I think the mixed service to him, and Pardew trying to integrate Ben Arfa and/or Cisse into the starting 11 hasn't helped either.

Long may his bad form continue. I read about 'Stevie G' thinking that they've even got a chance of breaking into the top 4 this season, despite being 10 points off. I'd worry about the likes of Sunderland, Fulham, Swansea and Stoke overtaking Liverpool if I was in his shoes, they're only another couple of bad results away from being right in the mix with the aforementioned. Then again with Saint Stevie they'll probably find a way to end up in the top 6, a jammy goal during the last game of the season or something.

By closer I meant just general play, not the scoreline. I'm not sure we were bad as such in the second half, they were just all over us.

Ball was up their end of the pitch, I figure our boys thought it was so late in the day that they might as well pour forward in the hope of snatching a goal. Bad call as it turned out but I can sort of empathise with their desperation. Some of our lot looked really, really tired by the end too. No surprise as they'd been chasing shadows for the entire second half. Thought it was strange how we were in the game during the first half but not on their level in the second. Of course they're miles better than we and most other clubs are, but it should have been a bit closer than it was.
