  1. Ah well. He'll do well for them for a season and then move to Real Madrid or similar. Stepping stone tbh.
  2. Clearly not on Gameiro's level if Gameiro is going to replace him.
  3. JUDGE OUR WINDOW WHEN IT CLOSES All in caps as I know you've got a thing for them
  4. Ah, the fabled future teller. I love how people like you concentrate on the negatives and base so much of your views almost entirely on assumptions.
  5. Just noticed that. Not to mention that the original headline for that article was "NUFC plotting mega offer for Kevin Gameiro". Do they actually employ an editor at the Sunday Sun?
  6. Mark Douglas reckons he'd be cover, not an Enrique replacement. http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle...79310-28862592/
  7. http://www.sundaysun.co.uk/sport/newcastle...79310-28862593/ The underlined is an example of some stellar journalism. His name is Marvin not Melvin and he plays for Sochaux not Lille.
  8. Borja Valero. Spanish international now. And he's class on FIFA.
  9. News of the World reckon Giggs got his brother's wife pregnant.
  10. Aren't you sick of McDonalds yet? He's going for a promotion. Chief milkshake stirrer or something like that.
  11. It was fair game till I noticed "POGO IF U LOVE THE TOON".
  12. Sunderland are about to sign Dong. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6982455,00.html
  13. Would you consider Ben arfa to be a gervinho type player? Possibly. And Nolan I guess but the problem with him is that his future is uncertain. Don't know much about Gervinho but I'd imagine he's sort of Bellamy-ish? Basically my point is that if we bring in the likes of Gervinho (long shot as it is), in a dream scenario we'd still be in for a Gameiro-level striker as well. Plus Ba. Chances of all our strikers being fit at one time regardless of who we bring in is minimal.
  14. Happily take him on a free, but yeah, Kevin is right. I'd still want a top class striker alongside him AND a Gervinho type player too. Strikers for next season - Ba, Gervinho type player, *insert top class striker here*, Ameobi, Best.
  15. Again, why don't you wait till the window is closed before you start comparing the two? I'd rather spend wisely and get good value for money than pay silly money for the likes of Henderson. That doesn't make me pro-Ashley.
  16. We haven't sold any players yet so that point is worthless. No-one is disputing that he's a good signing. People think that £20m is too much for him. Why is that so difficult to understand? Having one England cap means little also, David Nugent and Jay Bothroyd have a cap as well.
  17. 55 mil on a couple of players with limited prem experience and we sign a guy who's just won the double and broke into the France team for 4 mil, Jesus you are unbelievable Jay my sad friend its you who are unbelievable - you obviously think Liverpool have got it wrong? Do you think we will be competing with them in the next few years and finishing above them in the league? How many times have we finished above them in the league, or even just competed with them? Even during the good ol' days with your man Freddy. The ONLY times we finished above them in half a century were under the Halls and Shepherd lad, check the record books and see for yourself. No doubt you will still think we are doing it better than them again though, just like when we sold them Beardsley, and Gazza to Spurs, and got relegated. Who is doing it right then, us or Liverpool ? Where did I say that we're doing better than them ("again", I might add)? I do think that they've paid way over the odds for Henderson, laughably so in fact. Fair play to Sunderland. Not sure what your point is here.
  18. We've possibly made a better signing, value for money-wise, with Cabaye. Why don't you focus on the positives for once (yeah I know, bit rich coming from me)? I'll compare our window to theirs on September the 1st if it's alright with you. We rarely compete with the likes of Liverpool. Not many clubs do. They've got a wealthier owner and are a bigger club with far more pull than we have.
  19. Not being funny but how often do new signings not say the right things?
