Utterly pointless to speculate now. Three of those clubs don't even have a manager.

To be fair the players we're linked with (and I appreciate that some of it is just speculation) are of the calibre we should be looking at. I.e. they'd significantly improve the squad if we can bring them in. Like I've said elsewhere I hope we don't downgrade too much when/if they say no to us.

What I will say is that these are the calibre of player we should be looking at.

I doubt we'll sign him or Gameiro and I hope people haven't got their hopes up too much just because there's a bit of press and ITK (cringe) speculation. I know I haven't. If we're after them and they knock us back then I won't be too disheartened - the window hasn't even opened yet. Fair play to the regime/Pardew for apparently working on deals so early on. We'll have plenty of time to get the right men in, you'd hope.
