  1. I'm not sure what this staying back business is likely to achieve in fairness, but it's better than doing nothing. I do think a pitch invastion, which will result in a financial penalty to Ashley/the club, should be considered.
  2. This should be our forum motto or something
  3. On the plus side, there's been a lot more activity on these boards since relegation became more likely.

    Eurovision

I'm sure Eurovision comes round more than once a year...
  5. If it came to that, Carver would fall over his own feet and be out cold inside of 15 seconds...
  6. I agree with Fish on this, mind. Man Utd are certainly more likely to win than Hull. It's not a glorious end to our season though, and I still think I'd prefer it if we went down. Although if Sunderland suddenly got pulled down instead of us or Hull, I'd take that every time. We can always get relegated next year if it comes to it.
  7. They were relegated when we drew with West Brom, which happened simultaneously.
  8. I think it'll be more like 3-0, but I agree with the sentiment there. Try to have a little optimism though... Lets hope Van Gaals kids are better than Hull's seasoned and desperate team.
  9. It's just another example of this 'know thy place' bullshit that gets thrown at us by fans of other clubs. Hopefully the relaxing of FFP will allow someone to come in soon and fix this.
  10. Only because the wider public are too stupid to understand what happened. How is mass stupidity any sort of basis for policy?
  11. It's especially frustrating when you consider that they don't have to live with the consequences of their votes for as long as we do...
  12. Agree with Fish on Abeid and Cabella. If we had anything approaching a halfway decent coaching structure we'd get a lot more out of these players.
  13. This is starting to get a little unsettling...
  14. I think that says absolutely everything you need to know about the older generation...
  15. Your vigilance is actually very impressive...
  16. Agreed, can't see Janmaat sticking around if we go down. It's a shame this as there's a few players at our club who could be decent if they weren't managed in such a horrendous way. I'm not exactly sympathetic to the players in this mess, but given the utter clusterfuck going on above them, I think a loss of motivation is understandable. Especially if they've been informed that Carver is getting the job permanently.
  17. So we're essentially looking at buying a whole new team based on this article. I mean, we need one, but the chances of us pulling a Southampton out of the bag here and managing to do this in a competent fashion are slim to none.
  18. I'm gonna miss Jonas when he's gone. Not so much as a player now, as we should have better really, but as the one likeable member of our team.
  19. Liverpool aren't great, mind. I take your point of course but without Sterling they're going to be looking rank average next year.
  20. WTF To be fair, as bad as those are, @yourservice's Carver/Ashley combo was quite possibly the most horrendous thing I've ever seen.
  21. The Spartan proving grounds was a good analogy...
