  1. Please never lose lose your (righteous) hatred of Sunderland. Like they say, it's funny cos it's true.
  2. Because that's where it's least expected Dave.
  3. Glad to see we still have the required levels of deference on the board.
  4. Did we ever find out who made the alleged comments?
  5. Mackems man, never learn. Also having an open top bus celebration for getting into the championship!?
  6. Renton

    Eurovision

Yes. Along with Belarus. Also btw, the cheek of you lot being allowed in on this.
  7. She's been a good queen. But that is purely by chance rather than design. I am definitely a staunch republican. The royal family are the very definition of privilege and antithesis of meritocracy. The royals are at the apex of a class system which gave us the likes of Johnson. Now I know their abolition won't fix this, you just ned to look at the US to see this, but its an antiquated institution with no place in modern society and there abolition is necessary if we are to become a truly progressive society. Having said all that though, like most things I'm less bothered about them than say 20 years ago. I think William will ensure the institution outlasts me. The next bad monarch though will be the end of them.
  8. What a load of shite. Unfortunately this is real, and is what we should be concerned about. Have the BBC even mentioned this @Gloom. https://www.theguardian.com/law/2022/may/09/consequences-dire-human-rights-act-ditched-northern-ireland-boris-johnson
  9. I reckon the platinum jubilee will have a whiff of Weekend at Bernie's about it.
  10. The best argument is the "Oh noes! Starmer is trying to influence the police by threatening to do the honourable thing and resign!". Wasn't it the odious Richard Holden who influenced the police by getting them to reopen the case after it had already been concluded?
  11. Day 13 of "Beergate" ffs!
  12. It's the Wycombe manager apparently. Oh no wait, they're managed by Andrew Eldridge.
  13. If this is true, and I see no reason it isn't, I think Starmer is in the clear. It's brilliant how this has worked out for Johnson and his client media. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/may/09/labour-says-can-prove-starmer-team-worked-past-1am-beergate-night?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other
  14. I had to look up on google maps where Wycombe actually is. Some home counties satellite town of London I see. Probably more into rugby union and plot I imagine.
  15. Please Wednesday kill these fuckers in normal time. I feel obliged to watch but really don't want to.
  16. I tend to agree. I wouldn't underestimate the mackems innate ability to fuck things up but actually think Neil was the right choice for once.
  17. Watching some of this dross currently. Fair play to the mackems who have stood by this team, I couldn't do it week in week out. Watching it reminds me of me trying to play Fifa on easy mode after 6 cans. Fucking hell, SW nearly fucked up again with a back pass then. Is there really only 40 teams between us?
  18. Looks like the Corbynites are off the hook for instigating this. Footage was apparently taken by the son of a Breibart journalist. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/may/09/revealed-student-ivo-delingpole-james-breitbart-beergate-video-that-threatens-to-sink-starmer?CMP=Share_AndroidApp_Other
  19. It's funny seeing the tories and their media stooges shit themselves. Thing is, Starmer is probably the most qualified person in the country to know if he's broken the law or not. He's had days to scrutinise his own actions so must be extremely confident. OR, much less likely, he knows he's bang to rights and is fucking the tories as much as possible as a big fuck you. And some on here don't like him!
