  1. Like Trump you mean? They really two peas in the same pod.
  2. According to the SMB we have a special relationship with them. First time I've heard of it like.
  3. Doesn't go far enough. I want pre-decimalisation currency too. Honestly, what age do you have to be to have been taught imperial measurements? Not to mention every other country in the world uses metric bar the US, who use a different imperial system. This is fucking insane.
  4. Must admit I'm quite worried by this and it's timing. Really does feel like we're moving into a very dark place. I've always hated Johnson but think I may have entirely underestimated his malevolence.
  5. He escaped censure, so the implication from this twat is that he did. Which of course is the plan all along.
  6. Looks like it. However, also: Phew, just as well for Johnson there is no way he would lie to Parliament! In all seriousness, he's shown time and time again that our non-written coda aren't worth the paper they're not written on in any case.
  7. It looks like an outside shit house to me.
  8. Dr Gloom's driving all day?
  9. Cheers, yeah, Gemmill gave me a similar tip for a BT issue which worked. I'm not with Eon. I've outlined I am not connected with her estate and for them to desist all further communication which I am finding upsetting. Hopefully that will do it.
  10. Yeah, I'm not liable and this is not a good look. I'm returning their invoice with a letter telling them this and telling them not to bother me again. See what happens. Really can't figure out how they got my address mind, my guess is the housing association must have given them it as I ws in correspondence with them last year over rent arrears (due to the fact she was, you know, dead). Pretty pissed off with them if this is the case.
  11. A bit pissed off/angry. Eon are hassling me over (substantial) unpaid utility bills from my sister, saying they're owed on her estate and they may prosecute me. I have no idea how they got my address. I was not the administrator or executor of her estate which paid for her funeral only. I don't think they have a leg to stand on but I could do without the upset from these cunts and threat to my credit rating. Last year I had similar hassle from her housing association. She's dead a year, let it go you corporate cunt bastards.
  12. Also, it's just inherently wrong. How can anybody who believes in democracy not support PR? Some things are bigger than the political parties themselves.
  13. Getting back on topic, thought Reeves was good there. "We lead, they follow". Transparently true. Won't be spin like that by @Dr Gloom's MSM though.
  14. Tom, why do you hate Toonpack?
  15. You might be right there Meenz. Considering that the tories have literally just anounced Labour's policy.
  16. Canny red wall bribe that like, £650 per household for 9 million qualifying for UC. Fair enough to those that need it I guess.
  17. How do you spell windfall tax? Was that "exceptional profits levy" I just heard from Sunak? These lot are so shameless and predictable. Edit, sorry, you spell it "temporary targeted energy profits levy".
  18. Possibly with the LDs and supply and confidence with the SNP. But I agree with you, ffs Labour, use this as a platform to get PR in. I know they won't. I don't really understand why, I never have.
  19. Current state of play if a vote were held today.
  20. Fair enough Meenz, politics is so dull at the moment. This is Braverman in response to Thornberry this morning, in the commons, the birth place of democracyTM (Braverman has been leaking her legal opinions on NI to the press). Yop notch debating there Suella. Standard now from the conservatives.
  21. Ahh the good old days. I remember a party in the office where we replaced the water in the water cooler with white wine. Beer and spirts galore. Boss puked up everywhere and passed out, comatose, had to be dragged out the building. The next day I remember decanting the wine from the cooler and chucking it, with the worst hangover ever. Somehow the wine fucked the cooler mechanism, the guy sent over to fix it was completely scoobied as to why. Sound like a no. 10 party in retrospect.
  22. I didn't. Was it in an interview? If so did the interviewer ask for evidence? Fabricunt made the same allegation, unchallenged, a few weeks ago. Probably plays to their base but MASSIVELY pisses off public sector workers who were there in lockdown. In the 10 years I worked at the Freeman, I never saw a bottle of beer opened up on site. Instant dismissal offence.
  23. Aye. Whenever I find my head nodding to Rory Stewart or Jeremy Hunt (honestly, I know!), I remind myself of this. Question for me is can the tory party come back from this and become more like the One Nation tories of the distant past, or are they now corrupt beyond redemption. Judging by their equivalent in the US, I suspect the latter. So if Elwood or Stewart want respect, or Ruth Davision for that matter, quit your party.
  24. This. There's still a commons priveleges investigation to come. If Johnson is found guilty by that (how can he not?), and the tories continue backing him, then effectively democracy in this country is dead.
