If there’s anything to this I wonder if it’s because of his versatility. I’ve been quite impressed when I’ve seen him but, like others have said, I haven’t seen enough of him to make a proper judgement

It’s just too wee

Only you could post that on the same page you were accusing people of being ‘unwoke’

He’s white 👍🏻 Edit: safety wink——->

It absolutely is. It’s not scaremongering at all. It’s practically one in one out. You’re at the point too where the court backlog has meant people being tried for very serious offences have had 5 year delays. Then been found guilty but there is no space for them in prisons. It even impacts the ability of police to arrest people because they’ve got convicted criminals being temporarily held in their cells. The prison governors association (as I think they’re called) recently wrote to the MoJ perm sec (because there were in effect no ministers in the pre election period). This was to warn them the prisons are days away from breaking point. This is, of course, on top of underfunding across the whole sector, whether that be police, public prosecutors, court clerks, prison officers or whatever. With declining salaries in real terms and massive staff retention issues. Plus their actual day to day jobs. It’s a microcosm of the Tory mishandling of the business of government but also probably the most pressing matter. But you know, stop the boats. Which was actually one of their 5 priorities (and they couldn’t even make any progress on that).

That selfish fucking cunt wasting another free kick

I’ve got them in the sweep and I’m desperate for him to retire

The strong rumour was Sunak called the election to stymie a leadership challenge. I’d also add that if you go along with those policies of the last government just to save your own political career then there’s zero decency in that. It’s arguably worse than the nutters themselves. You’re enabling them for selfish reasons. They’re not even loyal to the party as it’s wrecked that too

Simon’s had nearly as poor a game as Anthony Taylor

Wins the prize for the most German-looking Spaniard

That daft twat looks like a my little pony

Great pressure from Germany before the goal. Spain couldn’t get out their own half

Hunt imo. Unless he doesn’t want to be the next leader because he thinks the next election can’t be won. That said, the membership is batshit crazy and they’re (meant to be) the ones that choose

Imagine the likes of Kuenssberg if this had been reversed. Do you think for one second they’d be looking for the negatives from a Tory pov? I don’t mind highlighting negatives if it’s backed up by solid analysis. But most of it has been largely out of spite from people with a heavy bias

There’s nothing wrong with being happy about it. It’s almost certainly a massive improvement. I know Labour aren’t perfect and there are massive challenges ahead. But, apart from anything else, the previous lot have been doing fucking nothing to sort anything out. When you look at some stuff (like HS2) they have actively been making the job of the next government harder
-
Unfortunately it’s part of my job. Although I imagine the new lot will be easier to deal with. I also hope we’re no longer in a position where 90% of policy documents aren’t binned because they done a u-turn two weeks later. But that said, it’ll probably quite a few of us on here to zone out a bit. Especially now those cunts are despatched for the foreseeable

Honestly thought he looked relieved. And it’s probably about as good a bit of public speaking as I’ve seen from him.

The other thing about the notion of adding the Reform and Tory parties together is that they fucking hate each other at the minute.
-
What it really shows is an electoral system not fit for purpose. Although that won’t change in the next 5 years because of the size of the majority and because of the time it would take. By the latter i mean parliamentary time and the thousands of civil service man hours it would take. Especially with all the other priorities. However, the only long term way to stop the right is to get a Green/LibDem/Independent/Labour alliance. A couple of things to note though is the amount of tactical voting and the low turn out.
-
I fucking hope so.

And reform lose a lot of their dubious appeal if they’re just the Tories

Should be interesting seeing Corbyn as the de facto leader of the new Antisemitism Party
