  1. “The £40,000 club opened with a billing as a luxury nightspot in 1972, fulfilling a lifetime dream for owner Donald D'Adamo - better known through his Hexham hairdressing business as Donalde.”
  2. There’s a story I read about when he was at Lazio and his then manager Sven had a bet that he couldn’t take a goal kick which cleared the fence at the other end of the training pitch. Which I think was about 10 metres back from the pitch and about the same height. He supposedly did it comfortably at tye first attempt. He was an absolute heed case like
  3. is it really any different to match fixing? Yes, yes it is
  4. I bet Ronald Koeman can still take a better free kick than him. In fact, I bet Sinisa Mihajlovic can
  5. I think Gemmill’s point though, which I agree with, is no level of planning can make you force other clubs’ hands in terms of signing our players. You’ve even said yourself it’s the English system that is mainly to blame.
  6. I think previously he had a group of experienced pros in a side that almost picked itself when everyone was fit. Now he’s got serious attacking options and it’s revealed just how out of his depth he is at this level
  7. I bet they’re all fucking sick of him wasting every set piece. He’s obviously been an incredible player for them over the years. But surely, given he’s a shadow of his former self, he should be a bit part player for a side with a genuine chance of winning the whole thing. But no. It’s the Ronaldo must score show.
  8. Digby’s Discotheque, the Borders top night spot is a bit tallest dwarf in the circus
  9. An absolute tour de force of observational comedy

  12. I thought they’d all have perfect enunciation
  13. I suppose it makes sense. They’re the ‘vote in your own interests’ brigade. As opposed to the swivel eyed, bring back capital punishment and drown the refugees lot. Voting for the Tories is no longer in their economic interest.
  14. I think he will actually. Calling the election when he did was a big ‘fuck you’ to the parliamentary party. He just didn’t have the balls to properly walk away, because he’s a little manmy’s boy at the end of the day. So he’s carried on with this ridiculous halfhearted sham of a campaign to keep up appearances. Even if he’s still an MP, he’ll be nominally so. Moving to California without officially doing so (for the time being). The little cunt
  15. Not that non-Tories take much notice if the telegraph anyway but they didn’t seem too concerned about getting stuck into the lazy grifting cunts like JRM and Johnson
  16. Monkeys Fist has entered the thread

I see Alcarez has been drawn against a white version of Jason Lee
  18. I caught a bit of Shania Twain being interviewed after her set yesterday. I thought she’d look more like Shania Twain
  19. Yeah, I think it works like the presidential election but down at the level of what are in effect constituencies. Ie you win by getting over 50% or have a run off until that happens or you’re down to two candidates (the candidate with the lowest vote dropping out ahead of the next round). Then a winner emerges who is, in effect, endorsed by over half those who voted. Then the president chooses a PM from the largest party in the lower house. This election is only for seats in the lower house I think. It’s a bit like our system where the lower house has most of the power. But the difference is their senate / upper house is elected too I think.
  20. It’ll be weighted by a combination of the probability and the amount that’s been bet in England. In reality I don’t think even the most ardent supporters think we’re most likely to win it. Given the way we’ve played, would a ‘shock’ defeat to the Swiss even be much of a shock?
  21. Aye. It’s such obvious bullshit like but I think you’re right. Some people just like the way he’s a massive racist. Because they are too
  22. It’s like people just forget he lied to them about Brexit
  23. Aye. From the knackers who ‘do their own research’, ie have their prejudices reinforced by targeted facebook propaganda
