It’s not only a non-story, it’s a regurgitated non-story -

Nee body drinks in there anymore -
Apart from being woefully I’ll-informed they’re pretty much the only football supporters who even claim to be arsed about our ownership. Which tells you everything. If we start winning things that’ll probably change but that’ll be equally informative regarding the real reasons for the concern.
-
Racism not listed otherwise they’d have to ban most of their own 👍🏻

You have people like Simon Kuper, who’d been critical of our takeover / new owners. Apart from never having questioned Abramovich, he doubled down on it after the invasion of Ukraine and subsequent freezing of assets. I think he phrased it something like Abramovich having a ‘make no enemies’ policy or something like that. As though he was sone benign businessman, instead of being one of the gangsters who propped Putin up. He was either very naïve or, more likely, desperate to justify his obvious hypocrisy. It totally ties in with the prejudice you’ve mentioned before towards clubs / regions like ours too.

Yeah. It’s a ridiculous argument anyway. Especially as you know it’s just a matter of time before one of the people meant to be doing the protecting turns out to be one of the people shooting kids
-
Yeah. Definitely. That’s the other side to giving people those ultra long contracts. Apart from it making it hard to shift them, they already had the issue of it being very difficult to shift those from the previous regime who are on daft money. So it compounds that. PL is right too. It’s mad how little scrutiny they’ve been under, with even those lengthy contracts I’ve mentioned being portrayed somewhat as Chelsea being clever. Rather than the huge risk it actually was.

There’ll be a fair few blaming it in her being transgender too

The gun lobby etc will just say it could’ve been prevented by good guys with guns

I assumed he hadn’t found one as I only watched about 20 seconds before it started making my teeth itch.
-
Doesn’t he realise a shady cabal of businessmen have diverted all the white ones to Tyneside?
-
I know, who the fuck buys 48 crème eggs?
-
They’d have to be absolute bargains. Otherwise those cunts can get tae fucking fuck.
-
The four games is two (two legged) ties all in the same season as well.
-
I think Newcastle has been ruled out before (even for a Europa league final) due to not having enough to tourist accommodation. Even if that’s no longer the case there’s no fucking way that shit hole will meet the criteria

I like how Lee Anderson’s role as party chairman consists of spending every waking hour on Twitter making stuff up. What a time to be alive

They’ve got a couple of teenagers iirc. Plus Rigg who they’ll lose in the summer anyway. You can’t count Diablo or Michut as they’re on loan. Stewart will be 27 before he kicks a ball for them again. I was quite impressed with Jack Clarke from the bits I’ve seen but he’s not exactly a superstar or a kid. Let’s be honest, they’d struggle to hold onto them if a Championship club came knocking, let alone a PL one. So maybe they aren’t that good. I think it’s just their latest delusion to soften the blow about us. I get you, re: Kane. Beige is about right. I think he’s a bit of a dirty cunt too and far from being a player I love. But I do think he’s an outstanding and highly effective centre forward.

They properly fucked up the ticketing for euro 96 btw. Loads of tickets were bundled up in packages of multiple games. So if you bought 2 or 3 group games you had much better chances of getting knock out matches. I can’t quite remember the procedure but my dad went to USA ‘94. When they were there they met a couple of lads from North Carolina who were football fans. They ended up visiting us for euro 96. They applied for two of these groups of tickets themselves each, thinking they would be over subscribed. So they ended up with two tickets each for the group games at SJP / Elland, the QF v Spain, the SF v Germany and the final. They gave their spare ones away (me and me dad went to Romania v Bulgaria at SJP plus the QF at Wembley with them). They even had a couple of spares for England v Scotland. That’s why it was half empty. Although the logic of SAFC expanding their ground with the euros as a consideration is mental. Also, I know they get decent crowds now but they can’t fill it and it’s been pointed out the punters are paying non-league level prices to get in.

I can’t work what’s satire any more. European football. You’re halfway up the second division, mate If the owners did announce stadium expansion there is immediately think there was a rabbit off given the lack of investment in the first team

Was that meant to be published next Friday?

If you sold Wilson in peak form you’d be luck to get about 1/3 of the fee you’d have to pay to get Kane
-
Apart from lacking a bit of pace, he doesn’t really have any weaknesses as a centre forward and he scores loads of goals. To say his aerial ability and technique is ok is massively underselling his ability imo

Wasn’t Stevie Watson sometimes named as the third sub (which was intended for a sub-keeper when it first came in) on the basis he was decent in goal should the need arise? Possibly the only position he didn’t play for us
