I actually felt for him a bit. I don’t think he had much option but to make the second tackle. I also don’t think the referee would have booked an Italian player twice in a minute if the circumstances were reversed. It was a difficult game to referee in that atmosphere though and I think the ref did ok. Ironically, it probably helped England a bit as any thought of attack went out of their minds with the red. I don’t think it’s a vintage Italian side, mind

Funny how they wanted to go up via the playoffs when that was a realistic possibility. However, now that it isn’t, they’re happy not to go up. Also happy not to be bought by the likes of the Saudis (even though it’s never been in the cards and they don’t have any say in it). Equally odd they were delighted when the Saudis pulled out of the deal to buy us, given it’s such a bad thing to happen to a club. And they seem to be against the Man City ownership theses days too. Like the Poznan celebration never happened. Funny how they aren’t arsed about success but want the rich clubs to join a European super league so they’ve got more chance of winning things. The mental gymnastics on there, man.

How the fuck is Kalvin Phillips still on the pitch?

England look great going forward at times but you’ll always struggle to win anything with a suspect defence

We discussed it in the secret forum 👍🏻 -
If he’d come here, played a lot of games and done well under Howe, he’d have had less chance of getting a start tonight

I’m assuming that’s the same Jake Hepple that got sacked after organising the plane to fly the ‘White Lives Matter’ banner over a Burnley match. -
Aye, it’s an anachronism from the days of Ashley when he couldn’t sell all the tickets at times. I’m all for ST holders getting first dibs on cup tickets etc. That should absolutely be the case. But getting first dibs on tickets in addition to their own when members / general public can barely get one is clearly a situation which can’t continue

Living in the same house rather than next door to (metaphorically speaking)

That’s the crux of it. It links to what he was saying about (and I’m paraphrasing) how hard everyone was working at no 10 and how they needed / deserved a social event. Not at all, they think they’re better and more important so they didn’t need to abide by the regulations. I would suggest a great deal of them could’ve been working from home for most of the time too. But they wouldn’t get to be self-important wankers if they weren’t making the unnecessary commute to Downing Street every day
-
Aye. That makes sense, given you only come on here to try and annoy people who are struggling to get tickets. Purely because people have previously ripped the piss out of your lifting patter. That really makes you come across like someone who isn’t bothered by it. And also, you don’t seem rattled at all. 👍🏻
-
Well I would need to believe you for that to be applicable
-
Cool. If you want to keep bragging about shit like that you might do well to remember people know you used to run away trips and the club are actively looking on social media for season ticket holders who are breaking their terms and conditions 👍🏻

What a gargantuan tragic fucking bell end Probably didn’t happen and even if it did the first thought is to gloat about it to fellow fans

A naive Scientologist? Surely not

I think he’s got a couple of years left on his current deal.

No, but an easy win. They’re likely to a million times more PR savvy than the previous regime. Couple that with talking about long term commitments to the club and the area and people will lap it up. As long as they’re continue to invest in the infrastructure and fully support the team / manager that’s fine by me. Obviously I’m just speculating but changing the home kit and name would seem to go against what they seem to be wanting to do here
-
It could well be a commitment that things like the team name and home colours will never be changed. The crest has changed on a few occasions (3 times since it was the City of Newcastle one?)

Thought this was interesting (and relevant - unlike Dorris and Boris): https://www.electoralcalculus.co.uk/blogs/ec_consoc_20230321.html

It’s a bit of a disgrace that Johnson is still making the headlines to be honest. Highest monthly jump in food and alcohol prices in 40+ years. Interest rates set to go up again. And he’s getting this last hurrah in the public eye, still taking the piss, without a shred of humility or contrition. It shouldn’t even be a matter of debate that he’s deliberate lied to parliament. It doesn’t even fucking matter to him. He’s finished as far as the Tory party are concerned. It’s just another game

Him and JRM must have the same tailor too
