  1. I think Isak is probably intelligent enough to realise he’s been fucked over by Liverpool too. But he’s acted in a way that makes it difficult to have any sort of future here too so he seems to be doubling down and hoping we crack. Which I can’t really see happening without an improved bid and a replacement lined up
  2. I think I would like to sell him for north of £120m at this point. He can go to Liverpool too. But there’s an additional £30m or so Scouse tax if they want him, because they’ve done everything they can to disrupt our close season / transfer window. I’d let both them and Isak know those are the precise reasons too. If they don’t like it, and know one else bids, Liverpool can fuck off and Isak can ruin the best years of his career as retribution for acting like a prize cunt
  3. They are all that price like. I.e. £100 for the ‘terrace icons’ trackie tops. Quite tempted despite the price
  4. Liverpool came in with an offer that was £10m less they had previously suggested would be their opening bid. Then walked away. They’ve already signed a striker who is younger, has a similar style and takes up similar positions. A player they only went for after we tried to sign him. The way Liverpool have behaved in disrupting our preseason and also unsettling Isak means it would probably take a much improved offer or something like £90m + Curtis Jones for the NUFC ownership to even think about accepting it. And no one else has even bid for Isak. And it wouldn’t surprise me if Liverpool just leave it for this window. So where exactly does Isak think he should be allowed to leave for at the moment? I know he wants the Liverpool move, but him and LFC have painted themselves into a corner. I’d be looking at every possible angle in terms of fines and legal action / compensation if he refuses to play.
  5. Unless Howe really really wanted Hoijlund. And there’s nothing to suggest he does. Another big reason not to go for him is we shouldn’t be easing their financial woes in any way.
  6. Best thing to do is completely ignore gobshites like Lawson tbh.
  7. Frank Sinatra still has better comebacks than this kid
  8. You’re not going to believe this but that is what talkSHITE want people to do
  9. they score 4? Fuck it, we’ll score 5 then
  10. I forgot all about Wolfy was it Rayvin or maybe Andrew who found him on some flat earth forum where even they found his ideas outlandish?
  11. It’s approximately 100c at standard atmospheric pressure (that’s what makes the difference - atmospheric pressure). But at sea level it will usually be at roughly standard atmospheric pressure so that’s usually the guide. Even with low pressure at sea level the impact on the boiling point is minimal I think. Altitude usually makes a much greater difference to atmospheric pressure, so it would boil at something like 70c if you were so inclined as to try and boil water on the summit of Everest. The distinction is made however because atmospheric pressure is the real reason for differences (not altitude) because you could be in a 747, flying at 10,000 metres, but it would boil at approx 100c because the pressurised cabin would be roughly standard atmospheric pressure. I know that was very boring but still not as tedious as this transfer window
  12. It’s ‘effect’ 👍🏻
  13. Probably educated enough to know it’s ‘per se’ I.e. in itself, rather than ‘per say’, which makes no sense. But I suppose you’d also have to be educated enough to have seen it written down, as opposed to repeating it parrot fashion to know that. A bit like how you’d need a bit of knowledge to not keep repeating the mistake of using the word ‘giphs’ because you would know it was gifs, ie graphic interchange format. Rather than just being aware of the GIPHY website. A knowledgeable person probably wouldn’t refer to a perfectly comprehensible post as ‘elvish’ either. Although I suspect that is in large part due to the reference to ‘Arabs’ by HMHM. Because that would require your being aware of football clubs (and their supporters) outwith the Premier League. But don’t let any of that stop you from demonstrating, one post at a time, that you’re light years away from being as clever as you seem to think you are.
  14. There’s been petrol bombs hoyed through a scally’s window that are more subtle than this dozy fucking cunt
  15. Yeah, that’s spot on. I meant it that way too. I.e. not so much we should’ve approached it differently, but going forward we need to. Ironically I think we might’ve been ‘allowed’ to sign more of our targets were we not in the CL this coming season too. Again that’s only in retrospect
  16. I think we can sign the odd CL ready player if we can convince them to come. But, as this window has shown, we can’t consistently do that at present. We’ve been over what the cause of that is so we probably don’t need to go into the details again. But I think in the short to medium term KD has it right in that we should take that approach of Brighton et al but do it bigger and better as we have, potentially at least, better resources and can offer a better vision, wage, etc. And I think, as much as anything, the reason the teams you mention don’t ever get into the CL is because the rules don’t allow them to retain the talented players they find. We’re going to need to be creative because the proven PL / CL players are still getting better wages at the clubs we’re trying to usurp
  17. Have a minute’s silence maybe?
  18. Imagine being thick enough to actually argue your opinion is a fact
  19. Aye, you just need to suggest the mere possibility to make it a nonstarter though
  20. You had to fucking put that last line in, didn’t you? Jonah
  21. He’s actually one of the half a dozen or so people in Norn Iron who doesn’t support Liverpool or Man Utd
  22. I think there are some mitigating factors which mean a lot of what’s happened isn’t all the fault of what’s happening behind the scenes at the club. But you would have to start asking serious questions if a player who clearly wants to come here ends up going to a Saudi club instead.
