  1. Like when Sid Waddell compared Eric Bristow to Alexander the Great except they’re being serious
  2. Probably get him in January for next to nowt. Can’t see us signing a striker this window now though if this deal is dead
  3. Even Liverpool fans dislike Michael Owen
  4. My mistake. I think the BBC are reporting the £35+ add ons as ‘improved £40m offer’. As you were
  5. BBC Sport reporting we’ve just done what you’re suggesting
  6. That can’t be real. Mind, that one where the bloke broke the news about Klopp leaving to his son at the end of the school day was real. With then both breaking down like it was death of a close relative
  7. Aye, the good sign is we might have a striker when we tell Liverpool to fuck right off
  8. In that scenario you could: ask for more money + a release clause. And/or find a club willing to pay at least close to you valuation and do so in a manner that allows your current club optimal time to get a replacement. You could also put in a transfer request. All of those would make infinitely more sense than repeatedly making public statements about focussing on playing for Newcastle then blindsiding the club by using third parties to say you’re never playing for the club again. With three years left on your contract. You might be pissed off but you don’t behave the way he has. Even from a completely selfish perspective of the player his actions are a very bad tactic in terms of furthering his career
  9. Dear Mister Dr Gloom, I am Dr. Bakare Tunde, the cousin of Nigerian Astronaut, Air Force Major Abacha Tunde. He was the first African in space when he made a secret flight to the Salyut 6 space station in 1979. He was on a later Soviet spaceflight, Soyuz T-16Z to the secret Soviet military space station Salyut 8T in 1989. He was stranded there in 1990 when the Soviet Union was dissolved. His other Soviet crew members returned to earth on the Soyuz T-16Z, but his place was taken up by return cargo. There have been occasional Progrez supply flights to keep him going since that time. He is in good humor, but wants to come home. In the 35-years since he has been on the station, he has accumulated flight pay and interest amounting to almost $ 15,000,000 American Dollars. This is held in a trust at the Lagos National Savings and Trust Association. If we can obtain access to this money, we can place a down payment with the Russian Space Authorities for a Soyuz return flight to bring him back to Earth. I am told this will cost $ 3,000,000 American Dollars. In order to access the his trust fund we need your assistance.
  10. I think something like that might happen. But can you sign players on loan outside the transfer window? Because I think the deadline needs to pass before Isak would agree to it. The statement he made suggests he still thinks Liverpool is a goer this window. I think he’s massively deluded but it only makes the vaguest of sense in that context
  11. Just woke up having missed all this. The statement by Isak smacks of utter desperation. I don’t see how or why he’d say any of that if he’d been told there was a bid imminently coming from Liverpool. Also by alluding to promises without even coming close to revealing what they were he’s not saying anything of substance. It’s really just deflection from the way he’s behaved. Great response in the very measured counter statement released by the club. I also think, along with what a few others have said, that Liverpool’s genuine interest in signing him this summer pretty much ended a while back.
  12. One of the last times I watched QT was ages ago and Bonnie Greer was on with Nick Griffin. As though one somehow balanced out the other. I shit thee not
  13. Who do we reckon this is on RTG? Keith?
  14. Tell the Liverpool supporting plastic glory hunting cunterheads at work they’re full of it instead of buying into their shite
  15. Demanding £60m for a player who is in his late 20s and in the final year of his contract is quite different. That’s before you get into the rumours about him being told he could leave, then told he could leave when another forward was signed, then being told it would still require a £60m bid.
  16. Yep. And that’s my thoughts exactly. He’s a thick as pig-shit bull’s knacker trying to jump on the right-wing hate grift. As Gemmill alludes to it’s ridiculous them giving him a platform.
  17. We were but there should have been a massive rush. That’s not even hindsight. It was pretty much the universal position amongst any fans with a clue that Isak needed backup (and a backup that was capable of starting quite a few games), that Wilson appeared to be completely finished (very injury prone AND looked shot when he wasn’t and able to leave on a free) and Osula wasn’t ready to play centrally much (if he ever will be).
  18. Probably helps when TalkSport is your benchmark
  19. Isak’s unreasonable behaviour aside, we’re partly in this situation because a Wilson replacement wasn’t sorted ages ago. Someone like Wissa should’ve been agreed before this window even opened. I also still think it’s mental we aren’t even trying to get someone like Toney in on loan (assuming we aren’t and there’s nothing to suggest we are).
  20. The amount of expectation it puts on these players too when they are overhyped and get international call ups so early is really unfair.
