I’ll see if I can find a link to it but there’s a German made map from about 1630 of Britain and Ireland. As well as Newcastle and Durham it features places like Hartlepool, Hexham and even Keswick, Appleby and Ambleside. Yet despite their famously fighting against Newcastle in the imminent English Civil War, there doesn’t seem to be any sign of Sunderland.

Well he was poor value for money and nowhere near the best in the world at that time

Who hopes Palace get relegated and Guehi leaves on a free?

Nobody fucking did though 👍🏻 -
Makes you think

I think that’s a little bit rude. In fact he’s probably considered an asset to Tynemouth and its environs
-
He’d have had more chance if he took them.

They were just going to have her perched on a bollard but they decided that would look ridiculous
-
Georginio Rutter sounds like the nickname of someone who plays in the Thursday night 5-a-side league at Eldon Leisure.
-
That’s the thing though isn’t it. What would’ve been an actual customer service department years ago is a sales department based on commission

Appalling journalism seeing as it’s a local paper like. I knew he’d been bowling in the county championship but, even if you didn’t, that’s something that would/could check in a matter of seconds

It’s not that great. But I got a subscription with 6 months for 99p or something when I got a smart speaker a while back. And I’ve never got rid. The availability is a bit patchy. I think Spotify and YouTube has a lot more old electronic stuff that you can’t work out who owns the license for etc

No, it’s on Amazon Music so I’m listening via that

@spongebob toonpants @PaddockLad after eventually getting through nearly 100, 2 hours plus episodes of Talking Sopranos I’ve eventually started on Chart Music the Top Of The Pops podcast. It’s quality 👍🏻

They were only meant to be making a McEwan’s Best Scotch advert
-
We’ve just said no every time they’ve tried to arrange an appointment to install one as it seems like a complete waste of time / of zero benefit.

Fo’ shizzle

the daft cunt must’ve really hit rock bottom to have started flogging that dead horse again. You can’t even get the last remaining out of date stock on Amazon anymore.
-
The Saudis must have spread their net of fear pretty wide because no one else seems to give a shite about them either
-
They’ve got some fucking front saying the advert for our kit launch is ‘cringe’ after that one they put out.
-
Ah, forgot about your lass. Another reason for her to leave the profession

@Gemmill Why on earth are you going during the school holidays? Pre -kids we often went to that part of the world (Rhodes, Santorini, Cyprus) in September. The weather was always lovely. The days are a bit shorter so even if it’s hot for that time of year it feels less severe. It’s still busy enough, tends to be cheaper etc.

Loads of people wear them. And especially on their hols. And the mackems are definitely amongst the ‘worst’ for this (by their own weird criteria, I could not give two fucks either). But this latest bollocks, imo, is down to their commercial side of the club being a joke. When the strip was Nike they hardly made any money off it because they had negotiated a deal where the printing was outsourced to a small company in Co Durham (Consett iirc). In addition to this they couldn’t cope with demand. People couldn’t get hold of strips then, lo and behold, adults wearing strips was suddenly ‘Mag like behaviour’. Wouldn’t be surprised if there are similar supply issues with the new Hummel top. Which is a nice retro effort Tbf. This in turn has led to the hordes on RTG, desperate for validation, making up these weird tales.

She’s dull as fuck and has seemingly backed the loser in Trump. It’s no surprise the clueless bint is fucking shite at the right wing grift she thought she could fall back on. She’s basically William Storey at this point

I’m not sure if it’s the reason for the Mr / Dr distinction. But aren’t the Barber Surgeons of the Middle Ages / Early Modern Era considered to be the fathers of modern surgery? With physicians back then only observing and advising and (quite literally) not getting their hands dirty? Although even if that is the reason I would suggest that it has become an elitist thing to distinguish them from ‘ordinary’ doctors.

Well it’ll been worth his while but it’ll also been with all the relevant consent from McCullum etc. as he’s obviously centrally contracted. I see the ECB have withdrawn Woakes too, to ‘manage his workload’. Stokes is meant to be back for the away series in Pakistan in the autumn. I supposed it’ll give Pope a chance as captain against a side England should beat at home without too much pressure. The whole Hundred thing stinks a bit to me like. Apart from it causing the Ashes last summer being shoehorned into such a short period. Which is just weird because a home ashes series is as lucrative as it gets for English cricket. But I don’t know if you’d read but Andrew Strauss, when he was the Director of Cricket, championed it. Then you’ve got the franchises which are being invested in by foreign venture capitalist groups. They can currently only own 49.9% but that’ll probably change. And Strauss has been involved in trying to lead one of the groups investing, in one of the London sides iirc. You can see how it’s going to go the way of people purely trying to make money whilst taking up a big chunk of the English summer. It’ll probably lead to there being less first class counties and less test cricket. And for what? A poor man’s IPL with ‘funky’ rules. It’s run at a loss so far too I think.
