He’ll probably just see that as an excuse to start outsourcing parts of the civil service

Aye. And it never got a mention in the campaign. Not from the Tories anyway.

Thing is, it was in the manifesto, so they’ve got the mandate for it. At lamest that will be the argument made. This is one of things they’re hoping to push through in the first 100 days. The ‘national emergency’ argument can easily be made after that. Especially with Brexit etc on the horizon.

Aye, he was doing them before that as well

Just look at the proposals by the new government to remove the fixed term parliament legislation and, more crucially, to remove the power from the judiciary to rule on the dissolution of Parliament with the power resting solely with the PM. I.e. he won’t even just be able to bypass the courts but also the Commons and the Lords. Worse still, it’ll happen with barely any mention

Bet Colin’s full name is an anagram of Neil Warnock

Doesn’t matter as what’s left of the UK will be a dictatorship soon anyway.

Same people who think Corbyn and his manifesto weren’t amongst the biggest issues presumably
-
People like that come across as bad as the tories in terms of it being like a game rather than it being about people’s lives

I don’t see how you can draw that conclusion re: centrism based on polling day. There wasn’t a credible centrist option. I don’t really think it’s the answer but I’m not sure what is. Agree with you on Starmer. Although the gap is so great in terms of seats you’re probably looking at s hung Parliament at best next time. I’d take that if it means much needed electoral reform.

She must have had a good bra. Proper Spaniel’s lugs

Yep, exactly the same

Trying to outdo 50 Cent was never going to work out well

He’s just another establishment type pretending to offer something to the man in the street. He wants someone with an unconventional backstory to work for him purely because it’ll look good. Edit: unconventional in terms of Whitehall that is

JDT was signed to play as a number 10 behind Shearer. I’m not that convinced he was suited to the PL back then anyway though.

That comparing us with last season not seeming like such a good idea now. And we had a really good second half to our season last time round. What’s Luke Edwards been saying lately?

Special relationship right there. The real losers here will be ordinary Iraqis though

Good to see we’re a proper democracy now rather than being governed at the whim of some unelected bureaucrat
-
Because it’s either that or, in lieu of having anything remotely interesting to contribute, you just play the contrarian.

Well I didn’t realised he bucked your lass. That explains a lot, mate. My condolences

Great to see the way Bruce has re-invigorated your passion for the game, mate 👍

I heard something on the radio about it recently. Don’t know if it was just rough sleepers (guessing not) but the homeless figure for LA was in the tens of thousands iirc. It also mentioned about how you’d have to work about 150 hours on minimum wage to afford the average weekly rent

Aldi do vegan pasties and sausage rolls now. Only had the latter but they’re canny nice

I know a couple who live in Blyth Valley who voted Green. The reason they both gave was they’d never vote Tory or the Brexit Party, didn’t like Swinson and the LDs but couldn’t bring themselves to support Corbyn’s Labour. I’d say both are natural Labour voters
