  1. I think Miggy is more at fault for this one though Barnes had an underwhelming cameo, generally. In this case Miggy has to hold or bend his run. He could easily beat the defender even if he has a yard or two make up. He’s got the pace, he didn’t have to go early
  2. is kelly a centre back who can play at left back in the dan burn mould or does he look equally comfortable in both positions?
  3. even if we had the money for a player such as mbappe, i don't think howe would fancy him.
  4. i won't mind if miggy stays on as a squad player because he will be useful in some games but i suspect his time is up. shame he couldn't kick on after last season but he's someone we could still get a few quid for.
  5. agree with most of what you have to say but that offside was unforgivable. he's a professional footballer, looking right up the defensive line. he just needs to delay his run or bend it and he's in to give gordon a tap in. he's got the pace, he doesn't need to go early. it's sunday league stuff tbh
  6. We can get into this Man U team. They look error-prone defensively and clueless in the final third when they do enjoy a spell of possession
  7. lad needs a goal. He’s got a bit about him. He’s raw. Kind of feel like he’s playing within himself because he’s scared of making a mistake but there were a couple of moments yesterday when he took on and beat his man. I’d like to see him do that more
  8. this is a fair point. There will always be a scapegoat when we underperform. Fans naturally will debate who was to blame for a disappointing performance/result. The players you mention are our most limited and are the obvious targets for that reason. If they’re moved on, Krafth, Lascelles - and maybe Barnes if he puts in too many more performances like yesterday again - might be next
  9. It’s hard not to like both players for that reason. Both bust a gut and are great on their day. And you’re right that they’ve both done well to still be involved at this stage. I imagine either player could secure a move to a decent club across Europe or even in the PL and both will go with best wishes. Miggy will always have last season to look back on, where he was bloody brilliant.
  10. That was annoying. Watched the Chelsea game with my Chelsea-supporting mate. Tbf it was a great game for the neutral. Every time each side went forwards it looked like they could score. Chelsea look very good going forwards but are wide open defensively: forest hit the woodwork three times. I can see Chelsea dropping points before the end of the season. Beat Man U and 6th is ours
  11. I’ve defended him loads on here. I still think he’s a decent PL squad player but he’s the type you probably have to cash in on because of the ffp bullshit
  12. i agree it’s time to sell Miggy to Saudi. Two awful bits of play, firstly not to bend his run for the offside goal then that comical dice when he was in if he stayed on his feet. Unforgivable and cost us two points
  13. Disappointing performance and result. Got it all to do to get 6th now
  14. That disallowed goal man. Ffs. Miggy has to stay onside. Absolutely terrible from a professional footballer not to bend his run which could cost us two important points
  15. wonder if he’s carrying a niggle. He’s been well off the pace today
  16. yeah, we’ve gone from having two ball-playing centre halves in Botman and Schar to Krafth and Burn, who can defend well but don’t exactly spray it around
  17. Always a good time to score. 6 league goals for Ciggy. Not bad given he’s been far from his best for large parts of it
