  1. watch puns are second to none. regrettably I missed this banter - I’d already clocked off for the day.
  2. I hope they hang on. They were miles better than psg were against us. PSG only qualified from our group thanks to that disgusting penalty decision against us.
  3. he does still have plenty to offer a pemier league team. problem is he is only fit to play 50% of fixtures and he's 32, so that will have a say on how much we might get for him. i'd be tempted to keep him for that reason, as long as he's happy to be rotated in and out. it's in his interests tbh. he's made of glass. he'll still get plenty of game time as we look to go in four competitions again. i'd only sell if someone came in with a bid of around £20m because it'll cost more than that to replace him. the only way we're getting more than that is if he goes to saudi
  4. stick - if he's happy staying as a rotation option. this season has demonstrated you need three proper CF options if you have the extra european fixtures. we should have signed a third striker last summer. it's imperative we get one this summer then we can manage wilson's minute and bring him in and out of the team so hopefully he doesn't break down as much. if we can get 20 odd appearances out of him and around 10 goals, he's a more than useful squad player. then bring that sesko kid (or similar) in to rotate along with him and isak.
  5. i can see why he'd be annoying in the dressing room
  6. bit of a "bits and pieces" cricketer but did a job, the king of spain
  7. diego would snort him under the table any day man
  8. there has been nothing chatoic about the past 14 years of tory rule. nothing at all. nope
  9. let's see how pele would get on if he was up all night sniffing coke and shagging prossies
  10. yeah, fletcher knew. it was a bit like when keegan lost the plot in that sky interview. that was the moment england knew the aussies were cracking under the pressure. they turned up expecting to be able to steamroller us as per, as you could see by Punter's outrageous decision to bowl first at edgbaston - i was there for the last day of that test, (well, half day) still, bloody marvellous! it was such an enthralling series. that pace attack with flintoff, harmeson, hoggard and jones had a little bit of everything. all ashley giles had to do was tie up an end from time to time. the aussie batters had no clue how to deal with the reverse swing jones and flintoff were able to find with the older ball. clarke, martyn and gilchrist were all made to look stupid on more than one occasion. i do wonder if we'd have managed it without mcgrath's injury mind. they were still an incredible side, even if a few of them were over the hill. and they got their revenge next time we toured down under
  11. is it their last home game of the season? I’d love to see their lap or honour to an empty old Trafford if we put 3 or 4 past them
  12. a dodgy ref/VAR is all that can save them
  13. that felt like the moment the urn was regained in 05 - Punter losing the plot at a sub fielder
  14. We took the black cats bar. Took the bastard good and proper
