  1. not looking forward to this at all, the way we've been playing.
  2. the beeb is one of the great british institutions and the envy of much of the world. they set the industry standard on a lot of the tech innovations too. every few years sony ask them what they want their cameras to look like in a few years; devlop them to the beeb's spec. then they're inevitably bought up the rest of the world's media companies.
  3. I fancied a win against these. relieved to come away with a point in the end. the big difference between this season and last season is the injuries. the lack of depth in the squad was the same last season but we managed to play a settled team for large parts. the other big difference is we might have scraped a win last season after putting in a similar performance. you could argue we're getting the results the performances deserve so far, where last year there were more tha a few games where we'd win while playing pretty poorly.
  4. Yup. I don't see how a true fan can defend the move as things stand. SD Arena ffs. It's a joke.
  5. And where's the revenue from the naming rights? Tosser. Couldn't eve. Find the extra two million needed to secure debuchy. Rich him banging on about the lack of depth when we had all summer to address it.
  6. If that's honestly his view, why the fuck did he sack hughton when he was doing a perfectly good job. As soon as Pardew gets too big for his boots, he'll be walked.
  7. ridiculous. if he's still here in 8 years, it's arses out all round in fenwicks' window
  8. CT likes em ripped with fake boobs. i wouldn't have called that
  9. Got to give the dust buster a shout out too. Essential for quick tidying with a toddler running riot around the house.

  11. Electric toothbrush has to be up there. Teeth feel a million times cleaner. I'm also fond of my kitchen aid blender and magimix food processor.
  12. when was the last time we won at old trafford? i'm not sure we've won there in my lifetime
  13. hi, welcome to the forum 1 - What was your reaction to the Europa League draw? The group doesn't seem that tough. I excpect us to progress, if we play a stronger team than we have so far. but the competition itself doesn't get interesting until the knock out stages. I'd like to see it revert to that format. poor man's champion's league in its current state. 2- What do you know about the Bordeaux team? And the club? Not much. Like the wine though 3- Are you interested in the French League 1 in England? What is your opinion about our league? I'm interested but it doesn't get a lot of coverage over here so I'm pretty ignorant of the players outside of the French national side. 4- Is this competition important to you as supporters? And for the club leads? The competition is important to me. All competitions are given we've never won a major trophy in my lifetime. I'd like us to take it more serioulsy than the management seem to be doing. So far we have played our reserve team, saving our first team players for the league, 5- What are the strengths of your team? How is your start to the season? Start of the season is pretty good considering the fixtured. We've had tough games at home to Spurs and away to Chelsea and Everton. PLayers to look out for: Colocini, our ball playing centre half and captain. Tiote can dominate the best midfields. Our creative genius is Ben Arfa, I'm sure you know a lot about him already. Cisse and Ba are both dangerous forwards when in form. Whether you see many of these players is another question. 6- What is your opinion on Gabriel Obertan, who has played in Bordeaux? Infuriating so far. Seems to be blessed with pace and a good touch yet runs around like a headless chicken, gives the ball away way too easily and generally crosses the ball quite poorly. 7- And finally: a small prognosis for the game? I can see a score draw or a home win if we start more of our first choice players.
  14. i'm bored i'm bored i'm bored breasts i'm bored
  15. how's this possible? doesn't it mean normal seats will be lost?
  16. Last night I almost finished season two of Breaking Bad. Walt does appear to be descending into true badness Took my little boy to the natural history museum on Saturday. He's been obsessed with dinosaurs ever since. I'm on the bus. Just went past the gregs in Peckham that was burnt out in the riots last year. Still looks a mess. The sun is shining in the capital. Could be a good day. I have to report on plans to build on the green belt later, so maybe not.
  17. You can't really compare the two. I shower every day. Like a bath if I've got man flu
  18. We should manage to win the odd home game without him, enabling him (or others) to play an occasional cup game. Rotation for me isn't a out putting your first team out for the league and the reserves out for the cup. It should be about trying to win every game in every competition you enter while making sure key players get a rest every now and then. Our policy seems to be put everything into the league and hope we scrape through the early rounds of the cups with the second string. Not the right policy for a team that's gone so long without a trophy.
  19. agree about mixing up the first team 11. but i'd extend that to all the competitions. take a bit of a chance in the league by not playing every one of our first choice 11 so we don't have to put out a complete reserve team out in the cup competitions. i think we all agree rotation is essential and that more first teamer will play in the fixtures the manager views as a priority. at the minute that's clearly the league over the cups. even if that's the case, why not rest cisse or ben arfa for a league match so they can play in one of the cups. spread the resources across all competitions we enter.
  20. nah; it's still a tin pot at the end of the day; you'd take it, and the bus parade that came with it.
  21. saw total recall at the cinema int he end. i actually quite enjoyed it. entertaining mindless rubbish
  22. he only needs a goal then he'll be on his way. class is permanent.
