interesting; when i started training properly a few years back, a nutritionist friend of mine advised me to ditch the three big meals a day and eat more frequent meals - 6 small-ish meals a day, including snacks, to keep the metabolism ticking over, avoiding large portions which lead to over eating. these days, i try to eat clean but basically eat when i'm hungry, which is pretty much all the time because i'm doing a bulking phase. every two hours or so i'll have something. the fasting thing is something i've never considered.

if i was over a certain age and was diagnosed with cancer i'd probably say no to chemo too. who needs it if you've already had a decent-ish innings? same goes for radiotherapy. i know someone that had lung cancer. the chemo got rid of it but the radiotherapy left her with serious brain damage. a tragic situation. as far as forms of treatment go, radio and chemo therapy are pretty fucking savage. but then so is cancer. it's a horrible choice to have to make. but there's no disputing the fact that lots of drugs on the market do their job with way more managable side affects.

at present, our centre halves to call on are colo, taylor, williamson, perch, simpson plus the new aussie kid. you could argue full back and striker are areas that need addressing more urgently, particularly with the two dembas potentially away in the new year to the acn.

perch has been class for about a year now.

So a punk rock band is found guilty of playing an anti-putin protest song in a church. What a shambles the Russian judicial system is. OK Russia, you're going to have to stop pretending you're anything even remotely resembling a modern democracy.

Messi?

If we can hang on to tiote our midfield is looking pretty strong now. Just need a quality full back, striker and no further outgoings and it's looking like our best squad for some time.

your use of pish and blather is the giveaway - textbook welsh speak.

if we chalk up debuchy and carroll, or a different striker, and lose no more players, we can consider it an excellent window.

CT is blatantly a musical. hairspray or some shite. stevie - trainspotting parky - dr strangelove wolfy - eraserhead

his best work, imo. it's like a play. one set, filmed in a way to give the impression it was shot in one take. rear window is my next favourite. then strangers on a train, north by north west and psycho. agreed that vertigo isn't even as good as marnie. strange it's number one from a poll of critics.

H So by that rationale we've no world class player despite this being the best England side for 30 years? I think only trott of our current batters has a better average than KP and he's a good few short of 60 too. Looks like he might be finished for England listening to Strauss talk earlier. A decision I hope that doesn't bite us on the arse. I don't see any other batters out there that can easily fill his shoes.

can't see us selling jonas, one of our most consistent performers of last few seasons. it might mean that he has to fight for his place though, which can only be a good thing. strength in depth is something we haven't had recently. we were lucky that none of our big guns were injured last season.

so anyone know much abotu this lad then? what sort of player is he? highly rated? £6m is a significant fee for us to pay out so pardew and carr must fancy him. is he likely to play in midfield in the main or have we brought him instead of debucy?

Should people have to apply for a license to have children.
Dr Gloom replied to Kevin Carr's Gloves's topic in General Chat
i've always found it odd that you have to have a license to drive a car, or shoot a gun. but any old fuckwit can bring a child into the world carefree. -
Are neo Nazis the thickest people on earth.

they're all well informed. you can't tell me this lad doesn't know his apples -
you don't average almost 50 unless you're world class. pietersen gets himself out softly but he makes knocks others aren't capable of. for every cheap wicket there's a quick fire, match winning innings. class act on the pitch. cock knocker off it by all accounts.

those were players the previous managers and scouts all wanted i think (xisco aside). i've more trust in the current scouting setup these days. i just worry ashley's policy misses a trick sometimes if we end up missing out on a player over a million euros or two. the cisse deal worked out ok in the end but we really should have got him the summer window rather than january. hopefully this deal isn't deas and we'll get him in before the window shuts, even if we do have to pay a few million more than ashley wants to. i'd rather that than stick with simpson until january before going back with the same offer.

Which Toontasticers would you fancy a pint with?
Dr Gloom replied to The Fish's topic in General Chat
jimbo was mint. his telly was part of toontastic folklore. how come he stopped posting? -
that's exactly what it's like. it's been a fucking miserable post olympics hangover these last couple of days. my train into work was the busiest it's been for three weeks cos every fucker was too scared to come in during the games. getting around london's been mint the last couple of weeks. great weather in the main, people friendly and chatting to strangers, the west end like a ghost town. normal service has now been resumed. i blame the closing ceremony - the perfect platform for a return to cynicism and for us all to have a good old moan again.
