  1. fucking nutter to be fair. dunno what planet he was on thinking a grizzly bear wouldn't have him for his tea if he was hungry enough.
  2. shame he didn't make more of his talent really. i thought he might nail down a regular starting position but he's always either been too inconsistent, too unfit or too injured. shame really as on his day he's unplayable. still agree with the sentiment. i like him too, a good servent rather than the great player we all hoped he might be. definitely not deserving of the abuse he gets from some quarters.

cheers for all the tips lads.
  4. novak seemed to run out of legs in the final set after his thrilling fightback. still took amazing mental strength from muzza to see it through.
  5. i really should be asleep right now
  6. Howay man Muzza. Some of us are up in 6 hours. Selfish cock
  7. Still plenty of time for Muzza to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I really ought to go to bed
  8. Class tie break. Murry had so many chances to take it before he finally did; I was sure he was going to jelly it. Always looks better when he's more agressive. I really should be off to bed. Maybe just another game or two

looking like it's going to be about 12-15 of us. heading out in april time, whenever st pauli are at home basically. we're looking for a typical mix of savagery and debauchery.

cheers meenzer. did you ever go to watch st pauli when you were there? the fans sound pretty mental from what i've read and watched on youtube. that will probably be our 'activity' on the saturday. been on their website though and there's no way of buying tickets - or a fixture list - as far as i can tell. i was wondering if you could just turn up on the day and buy tickets.

i had my pitch stapled to a bit of chip board too. i was the envy of all my friends. funny what our generation had to endure for kicks. no wonder we all got into drugs and drinking at such a young age. these days it's all internet and video games the likes of which we could only dream of. my 18 month old son already knows how to unlock my ipad and navigate his way to the peppa pig videos ffs.

So I've been asked to be best man at my mate's wedding and have to organise a stag do in Hamburg. Anyone familiar with the area? And where to go for this sort of occasion? I've done a bit of research and so far the plan is to go and watch St Pauli play football then in terms of a night, we were going to hit Schanzenviertel, Reeperbahn and the Fischmarkt. It's basically a 48 hour pissup but I'd like to throw in some sort of activity in to the mix. I did a beer bike at a recent stag do in berlin, which was a good craic, that sort of thing. And any advice on nightlife, areas to go out boozing, strippers, would be appreciated. All advice from those that have been to Hamburg much appreciated.
  14. i can honestly say i hate liverpool more than sunderland.
  15. Hard to believe he's 29 already. We signed him when he was 18 or 19 and it honestly feels like yesterday. I rated him highly too at first too, he used to link up well with dyer and solano. Funny to think his top flight career might be over already.
  16. just got into Breaking Bad. Got through first two seasons in just over a week. Superb stuff.
  17. Sod's law that we return to our usual luck with injuries after failing to add depth to the squad in the summer transfer window. Last year was a one off in terms of how few injuries we sustained.
  18. Yeah, let's put our best centre half in midfield. Good one
  19. 8th. Our first team hsve shown they can mix it with the best but the squad is too thin to repeat last season's success given the extra Europa league fixtures. Ideally we could have done with three or four players bought in that were capable of going straight into the first team. Instead we got one plus a few promising kids. Another gamble from Ashley. He scored blackjack last season, could go bust quite easily this time around.
  20. We need new players CT if we want to progress - are you happy with the signings delivered in this window?
  21. including carroll that's about 60 odd million signed just over a year ago all released.
  22. we've an owner stuck in his ways. he's stubborn and won't get into a bidding war or pay what he considers over the odds, even if it means we miss out on a target until later windows just for the sake of the odd million quid. it's sort of the total opposite approach to the previous owners who regularly overpaid for mediocre players. somewhere between the two policies would probably be the best approach.
  23. it looked like an ACL rupture or tear. no confirmation yet but pardew didn't sound hopeful in post match interview.
