the sbr and keegan lineups don't look right, only three defenders in them for starters; they're more a list of the better players that appeared in those eras. the keegan team was the best of my lifetime, the mot entertaining and the one that got closest to success. whether that sort of team would do as well today is another question. football has changed a lot since then.

we'll miss tiote today. i'd start perch in his place to give us a solid platform to build from.

we haven't had one on normal telly yet have we?

this one on the telly?

i don't midn cooking asian stuff. all you really need for a decent chinese is soy sauce, rice wine, garlic, chili, ginger and fresh coriander. the only tricky bit is balancing the flavours. you don't need many more ingredients though.

it's excellent. all fairly straight forward recipes as long as your cupboards are well stocked. i particularly enjoy making the chili men sauce and the soups

If there was anything to xisco you'd have thought successive managers might have seen something and given him the occasional run out given the wages he's on. He must be fucking appalling in training. I was excited about Luque before he signed. Spanish international, always looked decent on Spanish games I'd seen him in but fuck me he was gash for us. Is he getting a game anywhere now? What about best value for money players. Tiote was a steal at the 2m or whatever the minimal fee was we paid. He's worth 10 times that now. Ben Arfa and Cabaye - also excellent value for money that would go for a lot more now.

careless. don't see how it could be the other two. he has one foot on the floor at one time. genuine attempt to win the ball if you ask me. it's a clumsy, late challenge rather than a malicious one. i don't think he went into it looking to injure the other player.- 756 replies

1. What have you made of your start to the season so far? in line with what i expected. we overachieved last season 2. What are your opinions our our start to the season so far? i'd say you're doing better than you probably imagined you would. i see your lot staying up but almost certainly slipping down the table a bit. 3. We've recently seen Alan Pardew given a new eight year contract, what are your reactions to this? more pr guff from our clueless owners. the contract is meaningless. if ashley wants rid, he'll sack him. there are bound to be clauses in there protecting the ower from paying out a massive compensation fee. i wouldn't be surprised if pardew does stick around though. he's a yes man and hasn't rocked the boat ... yet 4. Mike Ashley always seemed an unpopular figure around your parts, what are your opinions on him? tosser that knows nowt about football and doesn't care about pissing off the support. he's a gambler by nature. he completely rebuilt the team last season, bringing in players that were untried in the premiership and scored backjack - we discovered some gems and they gelled. this year he's gambled again by adding few of the necessary additions the squad needed. so far we are about par. last season we were very lucky with injuries. this season we haven't been and the lack of depth in the squad that we were all worried about is being exposed. 5. What are your opinions on WBA as a football club alongside its supporters? good family club; well run, good support. i can't think of anything bad to say about your lot. the owner has made some astute decisions in recent years over which managers to bring in and you look to have shed the reputation of being a yo yo club, which is an excellent achievement given your financial constraints. you remind me of charlton a decade ago. 6. Which players in your side should we look out for, and which players in our side do you fear? ben arfa is our match winner. ba and cisse when on form will score goals. our two most influential players imo are colo and tiote. take those two out of the picture and we're nowhere near as hard to beat. i've got to be honest, i don't know enough about your side to say. - i only tend to watch our games these days. shane long seems to have scored a few goals this season so i'll say him. 7. What are you expecting for the remainder of the season? more of the same. i expect us to draw games we were winning last season. we've still got enough to finish in the top half but i think it'll be a few places lower than last time around. the squad isn't deep enough to cope repeat last year's heroics with the added uefa cup fixtures. 8. What are you expecting from WBA for the remainder of the season? Do we have a chance of Europe? nah, i expect you'll drop off to the mid table region, possibly vying with us somewhere between 8th and 12th. 9. What side is Alan Pardew most likely to put out? Krul, Simpson, Colo, Taylor, Santon, Ben Arfa, Perch, Cabaye, Jonas, Cisse, Ba 10. And finally, score predictions. 2-1 home win

i'd argue tiote is our most important player along with colo. yes, he's always likely to pick up a yellow card and the occasional red but that's his game. we've bossed way more midfields since he joined. his positive points vastly outweigh the odd suspension.- 756 replies

my 2 pence: got to be considered unlucky given how few chances they had, the goal was a deflected own goal and we had a man harshly sent off. still, another game that was in the balance for the majority of the game. we were winning these kind of games last year without dominating them. different story this season.- 756 replies

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched

Don't bother with Life is beautiful - gash -
Hideous. Vic deserves better writing than that

Agreed. Plus judges and juries don't always get it right either do they? A late appeal that overturns a verdict is no consolation if the accused is six feet under.

Much better from Obama. He's still got his work cut out. It's going to be tight. Scary as Romney's almost as big a moron as dubya

I just found it tedious, up its own arse and Day Lewis grating. I used to rate him highly but after this and Gangs of New York I can't watch him without thinking he's trying a bit too hard. -
Why is everyone engaging with the troll?
-
It does have his advantages. When he tries to dump some waste of time job on me, if i question it, he usually backs down. Sometimes you need your manager to make a decision and stick to it. That's why he gets paid more than the rest of us - to make difficult decisions. Honestly, this guy is so determined to avoid confrontation at all costs, he'll ask you to do something one minute then tell you it's a shit idea the next.

People that spark up the moment they step out of the train station, blowing a gale of secondary smoke in your face first thing in the morning. It's enough to make me never want to smoke again. How can a tab at this time in the morning on a school day taste good?
-
My boss. He's such a flip flopping wet blanket. The most reluctant manager I've ever worked for. Make a decision and stick to it ffs
-
People who take the outside seat on the train then force you to squeeze up instead of moving along to make room for you to sit down.
-
i can't see liverpool struggling to fill 60k seats. they might average two or three thousand under capacity but then so do most clubs. whatever you think of liverpool, they're a big club with a big fan base.

Hell yeah; a classic. You forgot to mention to add a healthy size handful of grated parmasan on top though. I like it with linguini, garlic and chilli mic clings to the pasta a bit more than spaghetti
