  1. £6.5m....fucking hell, we get shafted don't we
  2. they could put their second string out and thump us tbf
  3. how can he come out with crap like that when he hasn't scored a goal this season? i wouldn't be shouting my mouth off if i had his goal record for us
  4. i think we could well be fucked. the birmingham, mackem and reading games are all relegation six pointers. win those 3 and pick up the odd point elsewhere and we should be ok. lose any of them and i reckon we're going down because we won't pick up many wins against any of thoe other teams we're playing in the run in on current form
  5. no need to post the lad's mobile number on here like.
  6. i doubt he's the answer but he can't be much worse than smith
  7. how could they leave out this ari gold classic from entourage? Ari: Tell Drama he's on the top of my list of things to do today, along with inserting needles in my cock!
  8. juno. the wife's choice. i wanted to see no country for old men, there will be blood or cloverfield but we missed them all. it was alreet. dunno about best oscar for original screenplay. i'd give it 3 out of 5.
  9. Fuck off It was a superbly timed challenge against arguably the finest footballer this planet has ever seen (not my view I hasten to add) but still to tackle a player of Pele's ability with such precision and fairly was world class. Bobby Moore was at his peak in 1970, despite the arrest which was without doubt a disgraceful attempt at sabbotage. Shame the rest of the England squad didn't follow suit because IMO, we were a stronger force than 4 years previous. Was Jairzinho the greatest player ever like Craig? Forgot it was him and not Pele - it's with us going on about the save..... And Dan - yeah, I do think it was a pretty amazing challenge - care to name a better one? the fact that it was bobby moore at a world cup is the reason why people bang on so much about it. i personally think it is over-rated - we see tackles that are just as good frequently in the premiership. the banks save on the other hand was genuinely world class. all in my opinion of course...

  11. The ref didn't look like he was going to book him until he saw Eduardo was badly injured. it was a blatant red, intentional or not.
  12. that banks save was quality. 'that' bobby moore tackle is massively overrated though
  13. typical nufc signing isn't he? arrives with a big price tag and a good reputation but turns out to be a total flop and is no doubt to be sold on at a loss.
  14. when shepherd sacked robson. we were a top 5 side for three years on the bounce at that point. look at what we've done since
  15. one thing for sure, we're definitely not too good to go down based on the performances so far this season. just depends on whether there are three teams as shit or shitter than us....at this stage it's looking like a close call. plus the team that sinks like a stone at this stage of the season (like we are) usually struggles. i can't imagine many things worse than being relegated.
  16. shepherd got enough tbf. i'm surprised we got as much as £6.7m for owen. decent that
  17. that's what i'm clininging to, but at the moment i'm not confident. are you?
  18. i'm worried but i think (and hope) that there are at least 3 teams that are shitter than us. we don't deserve to stay up like, but it's absolutely vital.

  20. good. less chance of him coming home injured
  21. i had a stinker of a headache earlier. most unwelcome
  22. who else should have got it though? ferdinand? owen? rooney? i don't think any of the other senior players have a better claim to it than gerrard tbh.
  23. Anelka? As a desperate January stop gap for a club as wealthy as Chelski? Maybe. For most anyone else? Nope. 39 in 89 at a struggling Man City 23 in 58 at Bolton Both average sides. And nearly the magic 1 in 2. One of the best strikers in the world? Easily. 51 in 125 at Man City. 23 in 61 at Bolton. Only just better than Shearer in his last season, and worse than Shearer in his 2nd from last season. He's a good player, without a doubt, but more around the £10M mark. his goal record is good enough if he stays for the duration of his contract. i think the bigger problem with anelka is he's likely to want to fuck off to another club after a season or two.
