Do you ever post comments about him when he's had a good game? It seems you can't wait to criticise the lad and pick holes in his game. yes. i think that on his day he can be a great player, but he's frustrating to watch and there are areas of his game where he has lots of room for improvement. is he worth £10m? i'm not sure. you'd have to say yes when you compare him to luque and there are signs that he can be a quality player for us but i think he's going to follow in the line of newcastle forwards like ginola, robert and bellamy that can be brilliant one week, then disappointing the next.

he's been great considering what we were expecting when we signed him on transfer window deadline day. i stil reckon he'll do well to earn a new contract. he's probably done enough to deserve a contract extension but i'd be disappointed if he was anything more than a squad player. he should be 5th choice at best really.

he reminds me of yakubu. on his day he's awesome. great shot, pace etc. but he's a bit hit, miss or maybe. you can't argue with his workrate but he ran around a lot last night to little effect. he still needs to hold the ball up better and play the easy pass more often.

sib has surpassed all expectations but i'd agree that shola is by far the better player. i'd say the current order of merit for strikers is: owen>martins>dyer>shola>le sib hopefully we can sign a properr target man to replace le sib in the summer. otherwise i think we're fairly well-stocked for forwards - it's the defence that needs sorting.

he's got a decent shout for starting ahead of parker with dyer or emre alongside him.

i actually really hope we don't sign heskey. for alll the "hard work he does for the team", i'd sooner sign a striker that can score goals.

and emre's not?? i've always thought he was quite hard to knock off the ball - low cenre of gravity and all that. plus he always looks to win the ball back like a terrier whenever he's dispossesed... not the strongest tackler in the world though, granted. the main problem with emre for me is that he never seems to be able to stay fit for more than a handful of games at a time and he doesn't suit playing alongside parker in the middle, not that i'm advocating selling emre and keeping parker...

why does every newcastle manager seem to rate bramble so highly when it's obvious to all of us that he's not good enough? i'll cry if he's offered a new contract.

over-rated. i'd prefer emre to stay, or for us to sign a more creative midfielder to play alongside parker or butt if emre does go. reo-coker seems a bit light weight to me.
